Well I guess Wlad will have to live with his 119-104 4 knockdown performance then.

He already beat his ass and tossed him around the ring like a rag doll and bruised his face up brutally.

Not a bad list, but Liston is ranked way too high, Vitali is ranked way too low (there is no earthly logic that can justify ranking Patterson's pathetic resume and being the third or fourth best of his era, and with his 18 million knockdowns, above Vitali's, who was clearly at least the 2nd best of his era with at least an colorable argument for best of era and a top 10 slot). And above all, Sullivan deserves a spot in the top 10-15; yes he'd get killed h2h today, but he was the first heavyweight champ and that merits a spot.

Of course Mr. W. Klitschko isn't the 3rd best heavyweight of the period. He's #1.

Classic sign of the trauma you've suffered at his hands, I'm afraid. He's got you seeing double, thinking he can occupy multiple spots at the same time.

I wish it were only that bad, though. In cases as severe as yours, Mr. Klitschko likely appears at every corner, despite reality's cold contradictions and the impossibility of it all.

Perhaps your next source of solace will be "Wlad isn't even a top 100 lightweight!!!". We really won't know. All you need to know is that this forum wants to see you get better and return to the person we all believe you can be, overcoming what the bad man's done to you.

Only a casual fanboi thinks that was a legitimate victory.

No, only a casual fanboy lives in a dream world where he thinks that his fighter didn't lose or that Wlad's victory wasn't legit. He toyed with Povetkin. Toyed with him.

Great post. This is what I see happening. There's no way Wlad is going to retire before going for unification. If Povetkin beats Wilder (and he'd only be a slight favorite for that), and Wlad beats Fury, I see Wlad fighting Povetkin next. Once unified, he'll either retire, or preferably start shedding belts and go for the Louis record. He'd only have to fight for about 2.5 more years after beating Povetkin, and at his current rate of defenses, to equal Louis's 25 defenses. If he ups his rate to 3 a year, he could break it in 2. If he fights his way through Fury and Wilder/Povetkin, he'll have earned the right to shed belts and fight some easier opponents at a quicker rate to grab the record.

head to head he'd be very formidable because of his size, chin, ability and ko power, but he doesn't have the wins yet to be top 40. If he beats Wilder by KO we can start saying this guy is the absolute real deal. Then we can look at him establishing a legacy in the division and possible atg status.

How was he the #1 from 2000 when Lewis was the #1 until 2003.

How was he #1 in 2004 -2006 when he got blown away by Sanders and Brewster and Vitali was the #1

How was he the #1 in 2009 when the title was vacant and he never beat Vitali the #2?

How the hell is Povetkin the 3rd best HW since the year 2000

You fool, you utter , utter fool.

    Sure he did.

Look at the mighty Wlad run for his life when he didn't have Povetkin in a choke hold.

If you think holding a guy in a bear hug and full nelson for 12 full rounds is boxing - that exposes you as a dummy.

Well he and Vitali ruled the 00s longer than anyone else. Therefore we can consider it part of the Klitschko era. Judged as a WHOLE, not the individual year 2000 obviously.
