Povetkin to skilled for the one dimensional Ruddock. Always skeptical of guys who make their names for themselves in losing efforts like Ruddock did twice against Tyson.
David Jaco beat Ruddock just by being persistent. Ruddock tried to claim Astma but years later the film didn't support that viewpoint. He also drew with 7-20 fighter. Lewis blew him out and Morrison iced him.
Povetkin is a gold medalist with an extensive background, never been stopped as amateur or pro.
He boxes circles around Ruddock and stops him late.

Povetkin is cute enough to win this one. Whilst Ruddock is dangerous Povetkin also has the capability to end things and is more likely to do so.

Anyone can cherry pick highlights of a fighter to support their stance. Ruddock had a great "smash" punch almost to a fault as he relied too heavily on it. Bottom line is Ruddock wasn't as durable and he clearly was one dimensional. A boxer as good as Povetkin is not getting caught with that punch. Wlad couldn't put Povetkin away neither is Ruddock.
When Ruddock faced good prime fighters he lost. Usually by KO. Tyson Lewis Morrison. Povetkin would be prime for this fight and is better than Morrison and more defensively responsible than the Tyson Ruddock fought who's life was already spiraling out of control and beat Ruddock at his own game in a brawl.
I'm pretty confident in picking Povetkin in this match up

Povetkin is a good boxer? Since when? He is slow and one dimensional. Because Wlad couldn't stop him then nobody can? Idiotic logic.

Ruddock's career is based on his 2 Tyson loses. Razor was never that good. A guy with a pretty big punch and nothing else. But Alexander Povetkin isn't that good either. Who did Povetkin ever beat? A washed up Hasim Rahman? Nicholai Firtha? Wait overrated light punching Eddie Chambers in a fight that clearly could of went Eddies way on the card. Manuel Char and Carlos Takam aren't elite fighters either but since he is European and so many people from Europe are on this forum that will build him up.

So Povetkin the PED cheat vs Razor he one hit wonder. I would go with Razor by KO since he is far more aggressive than Wlad and was much more wiling to take chances with his power.

Povetkin is a good boxer since he won Olympic Gold and through 32 professional fights he has lost only once to a hall of fame fighter. He clearly defeated fast Eddie chambers who was 30-0 when they faced not to mention Chagaev, Huck, Tackam, Perez, nobody is bringing up washed up Rahman or faded Chris Byrd.
I'm American and I can clearly see Povetkin's skill level is above Ruddock's. He would outbox Ruddock easy. And then KO him.
