its intriguing as to how both men will approach this fight.. i see Chambers doing better than many reckon but over the distance Povetkin catches up with Eddie and slows him down then gets a late tko..

i think it will be entertaining...

C Money you are off your rocker. These two do not have the same body type. Eddie´s shoulders are considerably narrower than Povetkin´s, and the reason they appear closer in height in that picture is Eddie was wearing his shoes and Povetkin was bare foot. I have met both, seen both together several times, and Povetkin is noticeably taller, and by about a good two inches. By the way C Money you aren´t winning fans as you are coming off as increasingly boorish and a lot like Pantera2000.

Nat Gottlieb on this "Once inside the perimeter, Povetkin fights like a commando who has breached an enemy compound. He will lean forward with his head, push his weight against you and throw short, compact punches with hands almost as quick as Chambers. In some ways, Povetkin fights a lot like Evander Holyfield, relentlessly attacking while keeping his head firmly planted against your face...The guess here is that the rugged Povetkin will be able to walk through Chambers jab and take the fight inside. The fact that the Philadelphia fighter does not have quick feet or fast lateral movement will make it hard for him to get away. Once up close, Povetkin is likely to wear Chambers down and continue his rapid march to the world title fight his royal pedigree has long suggested is his destiny." ... Is Gottlieb a Povetkin fan too or didn't he see enough Chambers fights? Because he's sayin exactly what I said in two threads already ( exception for me seeing Chambers going the distance ) and I am supposed to be clueless about how they will match up...

    WOw...

I'm NOT SEEKING fans... BRO. Boorish? PLEASE. Should I say many others(not you necessarily) are coming off IGNORANT?:yep Yet to that Boorish charge? I havent disrespected Povetkin, nor made a prediction BASED on never seeing him fight, and just making **** up, AS SOME HAVE!! I dont give a **** whether you, he, she or they like me or my opinion, it is what it i,s and based on experience and fact. Sure we are all wrong from time to time but MY HISTORY? Proves out over the long haul. Would have the hope, that PEOPLE WILL JUDGE for themselves:yep
There's not much to dislike about either man here.

Again, this aint David vs Goliath and yes they have a similar body type. What is it you're sitting in? Both carry some Flab and there's 2 inches of height difference basically.

BIG FRIGGING DEAL:lol: Brock had 2 inches and 25 pounds difference, chambers has seen plenty of big men, who were bigger. What sets Povetkin apart is his skill. he's certainly the best opponent Eddie has faced yet. But facing the best comes with the territory of seeking to be a CHAMPION:good

Rock on, my Euro friend, rock on!!!

Chambers has defeated at least 10 bigger men than Sasha, who's only 1" taller and 8 lb heavier. Size will not be a major factor in this fight. Chambers is bigger than Marciano, and about the same size as Chris Byrd and Sultan Ibragimov (who's listed as 6'2" on boxrec but is actually 6'0"). Eddie is very strong - remember, he's had no problem pushing big men like Rossy off him.

What probably will be a major factor is Povetkin's greater workrate, which should enable him to win more rounds en route to a wide decision or late TKO.

These guys are both excellent young heavyweights - this should be a very good fight!:bbb

I think that Povetkin has clockwork discipline and that tells in terms of workrate but I cannot understand how his punching power is not the major factor around here... Anyone with common sense looks at this guy and realises he has true killing instinct and is a murderous shooter. I'm not saying he can break through any sort of punches like Wlad's long and stiff jab but he most surely can have Chambers on the defensive cuz as soon as he commits himself to torpedo Eddie's midsection, the Philadelphia flashy fighter is gonna hold back his own punches and let him dictate the entire pace from that point on... And that translates in higher workrate.

    Some very good analasis here.

I have not seen Chambers at all. I live in Germany and have seen many Povetkin fights.

He has power but not "One Punch" KO frighting power. He has good strong combinations and works low high easily.
I think his arms are short.
He can take a punch, and some times I don't see why he does.

    Chambers only has 16 KO/Tko's. 12 TKO's, 4 KO's the last KO was 2003.
I understand Chambers has a beard.

Potvetkin has been dazed for a couple of seconds....don't remeber the exact fight. I beady-eyed it. He recovered well enough but he's not super man.
In that I am not as impressed as I could be by Povetkin's power.( I just looked at his record, and wonder how come I'm not impressed. It's a very impressive record. He don't seem to have a Hammer from Hell Punch.

He grinds them down. Seems to know what he's doing in the ring....should.
Always struck me as a short armed which he is, in it is not listed in Box. REc....or it would be.
His record has been just out standing, a grown man in a hurry. He started biting big chunks early. In fact at first people thought he was stepping up way too fast. They and I were wrong.

I think it will go 12. Depends who has the most in the tank the last three rounds.

Potvetkin appeares easier to hit than 3 World/Olympic gold medals would indicate.

It is said by some good posters, Chambers can be hit too, and he's only got fast hands and no lateral movement. Chambers might well have reach, and nullify Povetkin's hight. IMO reach/height is improtant in well matched bouts.
I see it Povetkin by three rounds. I hope for a good fight.

I've watched every second of every Povetkin match at least 5 times, he has never been dazed by a punch. Every early sign indicates that he has a great chin. He never reacts to getting hit flush and he fights extremely relaxed.
