his extensive and impressive amateur career doesn't raise a red flag. But lets face it, he hasn't faced a bonifide hw puncher as a pro and does give his opponents chances to land. Only time will tell. We'll find out fo sure if he fights Wlad next.

You can tell early on how good a fighter's chin is by how they react to pressure/taking shots and how relaxed they fight. Obviously, Povetkin hasn't proven an iron chin yet and it's still a question mark, but like I said.. all the early signs point to a great chin.

Anyways, I'm out. I don't want to see what happens until I watch the fight on HBO. Povetkin TKO8 Chambers.

Well his chin hasn't been tested yet, against Byrd he just basically trapped in the corner and ignored his punches because Byrd can't punch for ****.

your defination of dazed is perhaps different than mine or your rose colored glasses are darker than mine. I didn't have to rewatch any of his fights.None were that "intersting", and not being Russian don't have the need. I have seen all of his televised fights, in I am living in Germany.

IMO he was dazed...did not say wobbled, or having to clinch to live. But dazed. In stopped in his tracks and backed off a step and was vunerable for a couple of seconds. I'm sure with three gold medals he'd been dazed before. He don''t have a Chevelo, a Cobb chin or an Ali chin.
And it is as I said that he gets hit more than I'd thought.

I think Chambers dazed him too, once. my version of dazed.

I'm still OK with my opinion of Chambers and his ability.:yep Yet? He went into a SHELL through the middle part and let it SLIP FROM HIS GRASP:scaredas: Oh.... the disappointment:-( He had faster hands, was strong inside, and landed sweet countering right hands that rocked Povetkin back. He was the more accurate puncher. McGirt's experience and performance were damn good. Maybe Mcgirt will try to work with him further. If Eddie had countered MORE? Mighta been different. The kid can fight and has skill, showed heart going the distance.

I mean the way Chambers was landing first 4 or 5 rounds? It looked like Povetkin was gonna get WAXED:yep He looked bruised and grasping for AIR from the first 3 rounds on. To quote Mcgirt, from different context? "it aint looking good":nono

YOU GOTTA CREDIT POVETKIN's WORK RATE THOUGH!! I'm not sure how every round he looked almost dead but came out and THREW 90 shots a ROUND? 90 REAL SHOTS? He made Eddie spend so much time ABSORBING, LEANING, and ROLLING that he seemed MESMERIZED WITH THE CONSISTENT ONSLAUGHT:hey

Chambers lulled into the shell, showed heart but didnt throw enough punches to WIN rounds. He has IMMENSE DEFENSE:yep I gotta as I remember the "Chambers has NO D, GETS HIT CLEANLY OFTEN" remarks were brandied about. Granted EDDIE became too defensive:-( Chambers needed to counter more but couldnt find it through the FIRE.

On to Klitschko!!! Boy, tell me this doesnt make the Klit vs Iggy fight that much more interesting? Klitschko has the BIGGER right hand and while AP ate Chambers rights? Those arent Wlad rights:nono What happens then?:huh Certainly Povetkin will PRESS the ATTACK! He'll have to:yep He'll have to OUT WORK and rough up KLIT to have a shot.

Now will POVETKIN work much harder in prep for Klitschko? Will he get in better shape. Which leads me too, "Where's Goliath AT?" How come there wasnt some huge size difference as many were talking between Povetkin and Chambers?? :think :think :think Can Povetkin sharpen his reflexes and keep Wlad on defense with 90-100 big shots a round?
