If there is anything that really turns fans off on a heavyweight fighter it is a lack of power.

People want to see KO power in display, able to turn the tides at any moment, when watching heavyweights, plain and simple. It obviously isn't fair, and can cause some greatly skilled fighters to not get the support they deserve, ...............but as fast and possibly skilled as Chambers is, I think he'll be snubbed by the fans just as Chris Byrd was for his lack of power.

Make sure you catch that KO coming true, meaning watch the fight.

Its sarcasm, because based on you're prediction? You're not gonna like what you see:nono

Chambers isnt the guy you think he is:good

His power is better than Byrds. His style is better than byrd's. I've said before, If Chambers has a higher work rate? He will start adding more KO's and 16 outta 30, isnt that terrible.

I am in Berlin, have been since Tuesday, and have met with both fighters. One Chambers is about 6´ and Povetkin is closer to 6´3". I will have pictures for those interested of me with Povetkin and Chambers when I get back to Miami, I am about 5´11" so you will be able to see the size difference.

As far as nicknames go I thought that Battleship would have been a good one, especially as an allusion to Russian history. Oh well, I guess White Lion it is.

Both fighters are quite nice people, and are great ambassadors for the sport. That said I think Sasha will win rather decisively as I don´t see an area where Chambers´ has an appreciable advantage. Tom I am at the Maritim as I type this so I will give everyone my impressions from the weighin and I will see you on fight night.

I sort of expect this one to go similarly to Povetkin vs. Donald. Chambers being even more cautious and losing a lopsided decision.

    Povetkin by UD.

Of course not:nono That dont happen til they RING THE BELL:yep

Appreciate you expressing the CLASS Chambers has, THAT BOTH MEN HAVE, they are good ambassadors for the sport. The Chambers family has always carried themselves with respect and class and i dont expect any of that to ever change, even with success:good

Weights for the fight, Chambers was 219 and Povetkin 227. That is the most Chambers has ever weighed for a fight.

Tom I will call you in the arena.

So 2 and 1/2 inches and 8 pounds difference? :scaredas: :D

That's 6 pounds over the brock fight. Not that much fluctuation. I've no doubt that Chambers is ready, we'll see how he carries it in the ring. Guarantee? He'll still B fast:good

Povetkin weighs basically the same as he did for Byrd, 1/2 pound more.
