In a year or so, I think this would be very interesting. If AJ beats Thompson, then steps it up and beats a couple of top 10 guys, I'd like to see this. Right now? Povetkin for obvious reasons. Joshua is only going to get better though.
Pov wins on points atm Josh won't maul him like some think. Pov has enough on the back-foot to move & counter at will. Josh needs to improve his jab before this.
But premature for Joshua, but I was thinking this morning this should be the fight they are building towards in 12 months. Povetkin gets vastly overrated by some on here (as does Joshua), looks great knocking people out who are 6 ft 1 but couldn't land on Wlad and would have a torrid nights work with Fury. Still if they were to fight now, I would lean towards Povetkin KO due to Joshuas inexperience i think he would gas or get caught. Don't get me wrong, Joshua could do what Wlad didn't and get him out of there, but that is more to do with Wlad being the ultimate spoiler/ ugly/ boring heavyweight champ in history.
