As I've just said he looks great knocking out guys who are 6ft1 (so does Joshua ironically heh) but he is short and will struggle. Povetkin wins now, Joshua stops him in 12 months provided he has either a good chin or stamina. Put anyone of them guys in with Joshua and result is the same to be fair (Takam would be the only worthwhile fight).
Povetkin is far too experienced and proven at this point not to be favourite should the fight happen this year. Joshua has a definite punchers chance but he hasn't proved he can operate at anywhere near Povetkin's level yet. Povetkin would actually be there to win and have the weapons to hurt Joshua, something AJ hasn't faced yet as a pro.
I think Povetkin COULD survive the distance, but no way he's gonna win on points or by ko. People don't know **** about boxing, or they'd know Povetkin has no clue about fighting taller opponents. Povetkin couldn't even reach Joshua's head. And he ain't no body puncher.
Joshua certainly aint no fraud! However I'd think it's too soon for him to face AP at this time. Leave this fight for 18/24 months.
Mr. Povetkin has learned from the war crimes Mr. Klitschko implemented on him. An eager greenhorn would quickly and painfully discover his error in lumping Mr. Povetkin in with anything he's already faced.
Right now I would have to go with Povetkin because he's proved himself against top 10 HW's. Joshua looks very good but I want to see him in with a few top 20 HW'S before we talk about fights like this.
In light of Joshua's recent victories against Whyte and Martin, who do you people have as your pick to win this fight? This thread will bumped again should Povetkin beat Wilder, because then the prospect of this fight happening becomes a legitimate concern for Joshua's team.
Is this the same POV who went life and death with Huck?. Joshua could beat him now just with raw power and strength wouldn't be pretty .in a few years pov would be destroyed early.
