Poevetkin definetly wins favor a stoppage but a decision is not that far out of the realm of possibility.

Welliver is not even B-level, he is club fighter format, like Maddalone or Calloway.

Not even B level my ass.....Calloway gets crushed at the top. I do admire his Terry Smith and Jameel McCline fights though. Same thing with Maddalone.

Welliver would beat either of those 2 easily. His only stoppage loss ever was on his feet to Solis. The man is a legitimate test to every HW in the world.

I think Joe Hipp comes up with a better plan than Atlas and Chauncy gives him more hell than he can handle. Chauncy would frusterate Povetkin and Atlas. The ***** outs Atlas would be giving to Alexander between rounds would be legendary. Povetkin's only chance of a KO that night would be if he finally snapped on Atlas and blasted him out of the ring.

    Close Decision for Welliver

Throw a box of donuts in the center of the ring and you'll really have a brawl!

Very funny, Chernobyl type sense of humor.

Welliver has a huge chin....Povetkin is not a huge puncher. I would not tout a 280 pound Chauncy Welliver to be able to outwork Povetkin but I do give a 240 pound Welliver a good chance to win rounds. He's the bigger man and can both grind inside and box on the move. If there was to be a knock down in this fight, I would favor Welliver to be on the delivery end of the punch.

I also think Joe Hipp will do more to improve Welliver than Teddy will for Povetkin. Alexander is what he is. A high ceiling guy before Atlas and no higher now or in 5 fights. Chauncy has a much higher ceiling than has been shown so far. And Joe Hipp is the perfect guy to bring the best out of him. Joe is a Warrior and he is demanding that Welliver lives, trains and fights like a Warrior. No more Mr. Nice Guy Welliver. No more Fat Dorkey White Guy......HillYard Hammer Time.

I'd rather see Chauncy fight Tua, Holyfield, Briggs, Rahman or another aged lion than Povetkin, but if they call it will be a good fight. A damn good fight.

He is a B fighter but still not on the level of Povetkin.
