Any intelligent fool can make things more complex. It takes a touch of genius and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction...are you feeling brave dinny
When Povetkin was about to fight Klitschko Dumbovelvet was supporting him to the hilt. After he lost, he's just another bum
Tua was in MUCH better shape against Byrd than he was against Lewis. He was 245 lbs for Lewis and 233 lbs for Byrd.
LOL. Chambers is much more skilled, much faster and much more intelligent boxer than David Tua. And you can't find two more different fighting styles than Chambrs' and Tua's.
You realize there's 34 other fights to judge Povetkin on right? How about Chris Byrd out boxing Tua ? lke was a stiff guy who utilized sized to impose then skill! what about Maskaev and David Izon lasting 11 and 12 rounds? you guys think Tua is just going to whack Povetkin out easy are only fooling yourself, he's all around better and certainly has better ring IQ . Povetkin struggles with tall guys, Tua is about 5'9 and had no second mode, he fights going straight forward, Povetkin has much better understanding of inside distance and against a similar style come forward my money's on the one who can calculate better. My boy? !
Realistically I think this is the most likely outcome. Tua is a dangerous beast but I think Povetkin outboxes him, but probably in a pretty exciting fight as Povetkin won't be as cagey as some.
Remind me again which skilled boxers with good chins Tua beat? Povetkin win by UD, roided Povetkin might even get a stoppage. Tua seems to do much better in these fantasy fights than he did in real ones.
Tua was robbed of a brutal stoppage by the ref against Rachman, the ref knew Rachman was done and didn't want to see the Tua left hook land when the damage was already done
Lewis boxed Tua from range, Pov cant do that anywhere near as good as him and hes not as tough or as good as Ike to stand and trade..I'm talking PRIME Tua. Any other Tua CAN lose to Pov
Povetkin, easily. David Tua has been comprehensively outboxed by far too many guys that were less skilled than Povetkin for me to believe any other outcome. And I mean outboxed despite winning fights. Povetkin wouldn't get caught with the goofy stuff that most of Tua's opponents did that allowed the scorecards to be null and void.
Prime unbeaten Oquendo bludgeon'd out in 9. Prime John Ruiz annihilated in 20 seconds. Those are two wins arguably better than any of Povetkins. Then you have more decent wins against Izon , Rahman , Maskaev and a brutal first round stoppage of Mick Moorer. Remind yourself of Povetkin losing 6 rounds to a fat Eddie Chambers , getting batted all over the ring by Huck and getting shut out for 5-6 round by Takam. If getting punched in the face means winning the fight , then Povetkin is well ahead - Max Kellerman. Face it , Povetkin's style feeds right into Tua's strengths. He comes forward with minimal defense , doesn't hold and hasn't any upper body movement. The shots he'll take from Tua will be sickening since he knows no other way of boxing than coming forward. Lewis knew he couldn't tangle with Tua which is why he stayed away on the back foot behind his jab. Povetkin doesn't have that gameplan to implement.
Chambers stood center of ring all night and traded with Povetkin. He barely moved his legs for the 12 rounds.
Povetkin obviously doesn't box from long range but he doesn't stand and trade. It would be more Tua walking through the fire and less Povetkin. I see Tua getting soundly beaten throughout the fight en route to UD victory for Povetkin.
