    1.3 million viewers,and a handful of million viewers worldwide.Impressive:lol::lol:
Povetkin's fights are shown in China.Sure, only a small portion of the Chinese population is interested in boxing and watching a Russian fighter,but.......... . You get it!
I have no idea how many people ususally watch Povetkin's fights outside Russia.I guess his fights are shown in dozens and dozens of countries outside Russia.
Wilder??? Hm! 1.3M viewers. Not that bad at all.I would have guessed that not more than 200.000 viewers watch his fights.
He is bigger a draw than I thought before

I'm pleased about this as we'll finally know whether or not Wilder is legit. I've been one of his biggest detractors on these boards but if he goes and wins in Russia, he deserves serious credit.

Dubblechin's scenario is a very likely outcome given that all the delays an excuses have come from team Potvekin.

Povetkin was handed a gold medal for fighting no one. His opponent didn't show up for the final because he was injured.

Povetkin went to purse bids with Wlad in 2008 to fight for the title, there was a winner, the fight was being set, and Povetkin pulled out claiming an injury. But he never rescheduled it. Instead, his trainer Atlas had him fighting no names.

Povetkin went to purse bids with Wlad in 2010 to fight for the title, there was a winner, the fight was being set, and Povetkin pulled out again - at first claiming injury and then afterward his trainer Atlas admitted he thought Povetkin would lose.

After delaying his mandatory shot for more than two years, Povetkin instead opted to fight for a vacant WBA "regular" belt rather than fight Wlad for the title.

When faced with being stripped of his "regular" belt or fighting Wlad, Povetkin finally faced Wlad and was beaten like a drum.

Then Povetkin became the WBC mandatory. He's pushed the title fight back for almost a year ... claiming he needed a tuneup ... then waiting for purse bids. Now the purse bids are set ... and the date is moving back and back.

So EXCUSE ME if I don't believe Povetkin is eagerly anticipating fighting Wilder for the title ... since he's NEVER beaten a reigning champ for a title in his career ... and he's already pushed it back WAY WAY WAY further than it ever should've been.

I've seen Povetkin do this before. Maybe you guys don't remember Povetkin doing all that, but I do.

I'm not buying it this time. Nobody needs THIS MUCH TIME to prepare to fight. Povetkin isn't a 300-pound Jim Jeffries who was retired for years and needs to lose a 100 pounds. He was in fine shape for the Perez bout. He didn't need a tuneup with Wach. He has already been training since January.

When Povetkin delays like this ... he has no intentions of fighting.

If he can pick up a gold medal without fighting someone, fine. If he can fight for a vacant "REGULAR" WBA belt rather than fight an actual defending champion ... awesome. If there's a purse bid or TWO, who cares. If he doesn't think he can win, he'll just fight someone else. If there's any easier route, he's there to collect a trophy.

His promoter even said they "expected" Wilder to dump the WBC belt and they'd fight for the vacant strap.
His track record is there for everyone to see.

P4P? That'd be be overegging it IMO. It'd be a great achievement and prove he isn't a fraud but I don't think it would place him amongst the sports elite, he could get there though with a couple of wins after that.

If he beats Fury and the Martin/Joshua winner it'd be hard not to have him on your P4P list.

Crawford is no 6 p4p in R.M rankings, so if Wilder wins in Russia, he will definitely deserve to be above Crawford in p4p rankings IMO.:yep

Dubblechin, stop posting so many factual and logical posts. It doesn't fit in with the norm of nuthugging and mindless drivel which has become the ESB norm.

    1 million in the U.S.

These Wilder fights are televised in Eastern Europe. In the UK. All over. Just like most fights in the U.S. are.

But those numbers are never included. People just talk about the viewers in the U.S. ... where boxing is a smaller, niche sport.

Well, Putin has to cling to something since the Russians are banned from the Olympics.

Team Potvekin knows that if their man were to lose to windmill Wilder, there would be nothing left to rebuild and Potvekin would be all but done as a contender
