How exactly is Povetkin too old to fight at top level? Are you saying that Whyte getting hammered off AJ, going 12 with Allen, scraping past Chisora, being pedestrian against Helenius and beating a 38yo who was having his second fight in 2 years somehow proves he's fighting at top level as opposed to Povetkin?
Browne would have lost to Hammer or Rudenko(hell he arguably lost the first fight) last night. Povetkin shut those guys out completely and really ought to have had an early stoppage against Rudenko. I have no idea how this translates into Whyte being an elite HW nevermind being good enough to beat Povetkin, he beat a faded, fat and lazy Browne who was just showing up for a final pay day. This just further cements what most of us thought prior that Whyte is a solid top 10-15 guy with a punchers chance against the elite guys but no much more than that.
Even if I also rate Takam over Chisora: I don't think that Chisora ever was that washed up. He has looked good his entire career despite the (often close losses) against the likes of: Vitali, Helenius, Haye, Fury, Pulev, Whyte and Kabayel. Delboy is a tough guy. Looking forward to Delboy Promotions.
