Foreman rarely knocked an opponent out with one shot the way Whyte did v Chisora, Moorer was one of the few one punchh KO`s Foreman had in his later career, Whyte`s hook is more powerful and quicker than Foreman`s was and he`s better at blocking shots with his high guard, oldder Foreman got hit very often and was very sluggish.

    It wouldn’t come to that.

Foreman would wear him down and club him until the referee has to save Povetkin.

Whytes hook is more powerful than Foremans because he knocked out Chisora? He just failed to finish off a hobbled 41 year old povetkin. Whyte was hyped up beyond belief for a lot of very controversial wins against overrated opposition

Whyte would want to block punches better than George because his chin isn’t in the same stratosphere as comeback Foreman. He’s been getting hurt and dropped with a fair degree of regularity of late. Old George got hit with monster shots by an array of fighters and a stumble here and there (that he immediately recovered from) was about the extent of his troubles.
Foreman’s uppercut was still brutal (he nearly killed Gerry Cooney with it) and his jab was a battering ram. He also targeted the body a lot more than Whyte does. I can’t see Povetkin enduring that for 12 rounds.

you really think Povetkin could do that at 41? no way, does he have the legs or te ability to change his style at 41 to fight like Tommy.never mind that I doubt he would change his style in his prime

Whyte`s hook was quicker than the older Foreman`s hook, Whyte is just generally quicker than the fat Foreman was anyway, Parker would have boxed Foreman`s ears off, Parker is far quicker than Stewart.

I'm not sure. Povetkin likes to fight instead of mincing around and that would play into Old Foreman's hands. That said, what troubled him vs Whyte was Whyte being about to muffle his offense with head movement etc. Foreman would be able to land on Povetkin but Povetkin would also be able to land on Foreman. Sasha packs some big guns in his arsenal; it's not good to be hittable against him. On the other hand, Foreman demonstrated a granite chin and seemed unflappable under pressure. Stylistically I'm leaning towards Foreman with the caveat that Povetkin is a more complete and versatile boxer.

Good points but everytime George punched he`d get countered Povetkin is a far better counter puncher, just ask AJ.

It could either look like the Stewart fight or the Cooney fight. If it's old Povetkin, my money's on the Cooney fight. But a prime Povetkin would probably beat him like Alex Stewart should've.

It's very hard to imagine a smaller come forward fighter without a speed advantage beating any version of Foreman. Prime Povetkin vs old Big George could've been interesting, but the one that KOd Whyte didn't have the balance and handspeed he did before and he was telegraphing his punches, and Old Foreman had the edge in ring IQ as well as power, chin and jab.

That said, I think Povetkin's durability is getting underrated. Old Foreman didn't have Joshua's speed or power, so I think It could go 12, with Sasha climbing off the canvas a couple of times en route to a decision loss.

Prime Povetkin would shell Old Foreman into oblivion, I'm sure of it. Old versions, not so much.

Definitely lacked his speed, but power? I don't buy that.
