Povetkin is the more skillful boxer but that doesn't mean he would win. He went life and death with the very crude Marco Huck who is like a poor mans Baer.
Did Baer have serious experience at the time of that footage? Was it Boxed Ears who wrote that anyone can look like a male porn star for a few seconds at a time?
Povetkin busts Baer up something horrible. Sasha has a great chin and keeps his head well covered. He's excellent at creating space and causing guys to miss, not to mention ducking and slipping big shots. Given how Baer throws his power punches, the chances of his big looping shots or overhands landing flush are remote. There's a reason why boxing is called the "sweet science" and not "macho haymaker time". Povetkin is most vulnerable to a fast straight jab and an uppercut. Not punches Baer really has. Even so, Takam landed some ferocious uppercuts on Povetkin that had the audience (all pro-Sasha) grab their heads in despair, and it didn't even slow him down. Povetkin crowds fighters, and deprives guys like Baer of leverage. Meanwhile he is simply superb at throwing flurries of short, compact hooks and uppercuts with good accuracy. He also mixes his punches up well, varying angles and body-head combinations. Add to the disparity in skill the fact that Pov has 20lb on Baer. I have no doubt whatsoever that Povetkin flattens Baer and prevents Max from pulling skirt for a few weeks thereafter.
He looked very good against Perez, but I think his performance against Takam was better. Takam is a huge mofo that has 25lb on Povetkin, a good chin and good skills. I had Takam slightly ahead by the halfway mark of their fight, Povetkin started slowly. But he'd been cautious with Takam and really turned up the heat late, penetrating his guard several times and laying him out cold. That was impressive to me.

Dino is just confused. It's usual with him. He's been following me around lately trying to annoy me Sort of like a three year old singing "the world's most annoying song". Unfortunately I find it amusing rather than irritating
