I would go with the more consistent Povetkin, but Dokes was certainly talented enough to potentially win.
It’s hard to think of many heavies who have more talent than Povetkin with such a mediocre resume. I don’t think Dokes has the power to keep Povetkin off him. I think Povetkin has some rounds where he struggles with Dokes’s handspeed but once he figures that out and realizes Michael can’t hurt him, Povetkin finishes him off with a combo ending with his lovely left hook.
