No thumb - just a flush left uppercut from Bivol, shows the slow motion replay.

    Must've crushed his eyeball.

Vegas receiving medical attention now, still can't open the right eye.

Vegas is usually extremely tough, very good performance from Bivol.

He was extremely tough here, IMO. :conf

He rose from two huge knockdowns and was still firing back, and it took his peeper being squashed like a g**** for him to quit.

Its only his 3 fight, but in terms of skills i would put Bivol in top 5 of LHW.

Yeah, easy to see why they're confident enough to fast-track him like this.

Yeah was definitely a punch. Vegas usually doesn't quit like that, his eye must have really been bothering him.

Vegas was briefly billed as the UK/UGA James Toney for anyone witnessing this display of slick blackness. :yep:hat

Hard to really damage an eye with the knuckle area of a boxing glove, just the way they're designed (and not by accident), just physics - but you can get hit just right and have it be extremely painful. I speak from experience.

And he is only 24 yo. He should hurry up and fight top dogs, because we dont know for how long he can make 175 lbs.

How would you guys rank the up and coming Light-Heavyweights? At least: Beterbiev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Browne and Mekhontsev

Hell, if you look at his pro debut & sop****re effort, the guy has yet to really take a soft touch.

I'd put his schedule after three bouts right up there with Beterbiev's (and I say that as the most ardent Rayco "Mega-Journeyman" Saunders advocate you'll find)
