That was 6 years ago when I was an immature teenager who took disagreements as a sign of hostility. For the record, I didn't nor do I currently have any alts. I only need one account. I've since grown up since then and am able to admit my faults, I suggest you do the same.
Not it does not. Henrry tillman, tyrell biggs, Audley harrison I can mention the same number of gold medalists who were not a great thing as pro so it was not a real factor. Tyson was not a gold medalists, holmes neither,
Because of the size, weight, height and reach advantages of Povetkin. He can push Marciano back, pummel him with his jab and counter punches. Inside Povetkin is also got fast dangerous hands
I'd bet on Povetkin if he and RM were the same size. AP is a better schooled fighter. Throw in the height, weight, strength, and speed advantages and AP should stop him quick. RM on the inside usually moves his right foot first when moving left, crossing his feet, leaving him off balance. If AP hit RM with a left hook or uppercut while he had his feet crossed, he'd probably go down whether he was hurt or not. It wouldn't get better for RM when he got up...IMO, this one would be a one sided beat down.
What makes it a crappy era? I find it funny how people can be so sure that one era is worse than the other.
I always pick the guy who looks the best to me on video, regardless of when he fought. A lot of the fighters you like don't look good to me. You seem to prefer the "Rock em Sock Robots" type fighter who stiffly throws one punch, loses his balance, resets, and then stiffly waits for the other guy to retaliate. I like fighters who fight with rhythm, who move correctly, are always on balance and in a position to punch, who let their punches flow, etc. It wouldn't matter to me when Max Baer or Rocky Marciano fought, they're not fighters I want to watch. While some might find something valuable in watching them, I've not seen anything. I'd much rather watch Lloyd Marshall, George Benton, Evander Holyfield, Doug Jones, and many more fight, including Povetkin, a well schooled fighter who is excellent IMO on the inside. The years a person fought is not a deciding factor, but fundamentals, technique, balance, size, and speed are, and IMO all of those are in Povetkin's favor.
So this is your description of Archie Moore, George Foreman, Max Schmeling, Tommy Loughran or Henry Armstrong? Because these are my favorites.
The Whyte ko may have been Povetkin's last win at top level. He looks just about done, and would have very little chance of springing an upset against Fury, imo.
While this is true it doesn’t have a lot to do with what made Marciano great. Ie. power, fantastic stamina in the later rounds, a high punch volume, tons of heart, and power in both hands. Povetkin might have lost to To a cruiser weight and had his hands full edging Chambers. Povetkin vs Marciano is going to be a hard fight. I’m with you on Bear.
You still post just 'lol' like a slime bag to a lot of messages, you offer nothing to the forum except biased, boring, unimaginative drivel. When the forum started losing high quality posters and being replaced by the likes of you (and your alts) is when it started to really go downhill.
Liston would jab Rocky to death worse then Louis he isn’t going to slug if he feels threatened he isn’t Frazier who will kamikaze... Rock won’t get close and if he does he’ll be handled and clubbed to death.
