    Amazing,isnt it!:D

Peter who got his ass kicked by Vidoz and who didnt dare to cross Povetkin's shadow at the amateurs is now a feared big banger who will teach Povetkin a lesson in boxing:lol:

Povetkin will beat him black and blue-especially in the later rounds.Of course Peter has a puncher's chance, but he for sure isnt the most feared banger out there.
Besides Povetkin has a good chin,a proven chin.He had faced some of the best heavies on our little globe at the amateurs, hadnt been knocked out,and dominated them.
He was one of the best amateur heavies of all times.
Sam Peter? Pah! A local African amateur heavy who made some noise back in Nigeria, but who was no match for the great Povetkin then.
Povetkin will school him and win a totally one-sided fight by wide point decision.:good

Hard to pick, of course Povetkin was a much better amateur than Peter, but, Odo, you know, amateurs and pros are very different. So far Povetkin has passed all test, but he showed some flaws. He is relatively easy to hit and that could be the factor for Peter, who has some power. Even if he has a good chin, and so far it looks like, he can´t afford to be hit too often by Peter. Peter may not have the hardest power in the division, as many believe, but he can punch a bit. Probably more than anyone who Povetkin has faced untill now. The question is, how much has Peter got left in him ? I think the Vitaly-fight has taken too much out of him and therefor i go with Povetkin by wide decision.

Odo always brings up the amateurs for some reason, Povetkin should be the greatest heavy ever and surpass ali if the amateurs translate to the pros lol

If Povetkin would be as dominant as he was in the amateurs, he would not have had problems with Chambers that much. If Chambers would have had the conditioning he had against Dimitrenko, Povetkin for sure would have a loss on his record now. 3 x 3 rounds aren't the same as having to have condition for 12 rounds. He did a lot of "defense" with sheer offensive volume, but that did not work when he had to fight 12 instead of 3 rounds. Since he reduced his volume, his opponents have much more chances to land something. Ahunanya did it, Chambers did it, and god help Povetkin if a 237lb Peter lands frequently too.

watching povetkin fight makes me think he will be vulnerable to a big puncher, but to be fair i wouldn't bet on sam peter ever beating a good heavyweight again. plus, if sam peter is such a big puncher how come eddie chambers could just stand in front of him with his guard up like he did? for being a big guy, sam peter should punch a lot harder than he does

Great matchup, Povetkin should win but not if he gets tagged with too many of those Peter rights.

He did also have problems at the amateurs, kman!
He hadnt lost a single fight or international tournament for ages before the turned pro,but he hadnt always had an easy time.I can still vividly remember one of his last amateur fights against a Bulgarian based Russian heavy who fought for our Bulgarian brothers under the banner of Bulgaria.Povetkin had to take quite a lot of good shots in order to win that fight. He won all rounds of their encounter, but it was a very tough and demanding fight.

Amateurs and pros are two different pairs of shoes. You are right............up to a certain extent.
I for one cant really see that Sam Peter has improved that much since he turned pro..
He looked horrible against Hawkins,Chambers, and Toney.
Hawkins went the full route with him.Virchis, another so-called big banger brutally knocked him out.Sam wasnt able to score a ko or knockdown against the same opponent.
Like Virchis Peter is a damn slow and predictable fighter who desperately needs a stationary target in front of him.
And lets be fair, Povetkin did beat Chambers whereas Peter lost to him.
Chambers had some success in the early rounds of his fight with Povetkin, true.Nevertheless, even the early rounds were close.Povetkin won that fight fair and square.
    And yes,he did beat Ahuanya-fair and square,too.
And yes,his defence isnt the best out there. However,he had faced far better fighters than Peter at the amateurs, and far bigger bangers, too.None had been able to knock him out before he turned pro.
You seem to think that Povetkin wasnt hit while competing at the amateurs. No,you are wrong. He was a very hittable fighter then, too.
Nevertheless,he got the job done and beat whoever was put in front of his fists.
He has a proven chin.Sam Peter isnt the man who will upset Povetkin who is walking on the long path to the golden throne of gold and glory.

FYI: In Russian the nickname "Sasha" applies to anyone named Alexander. "Aloysha" for anyone named "Alexei" Much like Bob is to Robert in America...
I see Peter getting frustrated by mid rnds and basically giving up.
    Sasha by TKO

    Well, what is it exactly?

    Aside from non stop punching?

The headmovement is not there. The guard is there to be split, and his movement is almost nonexistant.

Yeah, he ****ed up Grant. And Murqui, and La Londe, and Poole, and many others. He didn't even do such a great job with Michael Moorer, but gets credit for Moorer winning title (but no blame for Moorer losing it)
