It's cause Tommy gassed after the 3rd round and Mercer was fat and past it against Klitschko.

Many quote Lewis as hitting harder than Klitschko as well, but Mercer wasn't knocked out by Lewis. Wlad had, let's say, good timing

The Russian Hype job has never ever delivered, whats his best wins...... a shot Byrd and cream puff Chambers who turned his face into Lobster red ?

Povetkin stepped up twice and got rag dolled twice, once by glass chinned WK and once by stiff Bodybuilder Ahype......was not competitive in the least .........and went back to Mother Russia hiding.

Povetkin is easy to hit, has pretty much no jab and is mainly relying on hooks while lunging in. and has average power at best, he aint no lights out puncher above the club level..........he will get stopped while h**king with the superior h**ker.

BTW, no way in hell is the Kremlin fatty with his leaky defense taking the flush shots in succession Mercer took....he is either going into a shell like in the WK fight or is getting stopped, guaranteed.

Morrison was awful v Lewis a tall fighter and Povetkin did far better against AJ who was similar height to Lewis proving Povetkin has more savvy than Tommy did.

I think Povetkin has been greatly overrated at times.....
..... but Morrison was complete garbage.
Morrison was just a chinny second-rater with a left hook and nothing else. He was crap.

Morrison's only notable win was a 44 year old Foreman where he turned away and ran himself to a points decision.
And I don't think Foreman was even trying to win. He probably feared killing Morrison after what he'd seen happen with Mercer-Morrison.
Next fight up, Michael Bentt does him in 1 round.

Povertkin`s defense against AJ was better than Tommy`s defense v Lewis.

Povetkin would **** Tommy up so badly. Tommy’s best hope would be getting stopped in round one to avoid more damage.

Povetkin is leagues better than Tommy in terms of talent and skill. Atlas ruined him.

I'll take Povektin here. Morrison would be in this fight for the early rounds only.

It's too bad Povektin had poor timing. He would have been Wilder ( who I think avoided him ), and showed well vs AJ at an old age. If Povetkin were say 35 for that fight instead of 39, he might have beaten AJ.

A focused Duke could be dangerous opponent. Povetkin was good but wasn't elite.
However his around better ability gains the upper hand and stops the Duke mid rds .
