Povetkin's Trainer: I Want Tyson Fury's Ass Whooped! Former welterweight contender and now Alexander "Sasha" Povetkin's head coach, Ivan Kirpa, placed a certain fighter on the radar of his protege in his inerview with Championat. The trainer is offended by the past comments that were made by Tyson Fury. Povetkin (28-1, 20KOs), now the WBC silver heavyweight champion, wants big fights in 2015. Fury (22-0, 16KOs) will return on November 29th against Dereck Chisora in a rematch, for the EBU/British heavyweight titles. "There's one boxer, named Tyson Fury, who talks too much [for a fighter] and he's not too pleasant. He has talked trash about Sasha numerous times in the past, downplaying his ability and his achievements. I wish for Sasha to whoop his ass for all of these remarks," said Kirpa.

Fury might turn out to be too big, but Povetkin should be able to get to him and likely stop him. Fury's defense isn't really good, nor he actually knows how to make a perfect use of his jab like Wlad does. If he turned to the Cunningham tactics and tried to force a brawl against Sasha, the fight would perhaps end pretty quick. I'd favor Povetkin, probably by mid rounds stoppage.
Povetkin has looked good of late and would be a clear favourite to KO Fury. Fury's size will pose a few problems but Fury has a lot of flaws and that will see his chin get cracked. Povetkin KO inside 9 rounds.
Povetkin via KO. Povetkin may not be an explosive puncher but he is a solid boxer-puncher. He would eventually stop Fury.
I think furys got a bit more than he's shown so far, he's relatively young for a HW, voted him on points but theres a good chance he'll get ko'd if fury gets through the chisora fight he's mandatory for klitscho, so can't see this fight happening anytime soon.
