Povetkin just looks like the quintessential fat kid in that cut-out... His handlers seem to think he really is still just a kid when he's even older than I am.

Age old adage in boxing "Styles Make Fights".... I think it apples to this fight.

Povetkin isn't garbage. He's one of the top HW's in the world today. I just don't think he can come close to beating Wlad who is head and shoulders above everyone in the world at the moment :good

THe only thing Povetkin has that may trouble Wlad is a *right there and easy to hit* big head with which for Wlad to hurt his fists on.

Size, speed, power, mobility.......Wlad has the advantage in every aspect. And in the power and speed factors, Wlad has a HUGE advantage.

KO mid to late. Maybe a stoppage, but I am seeing a clean KO as Povetkin walks right into a missle right hand from hell.

i know you can have the best trainer in the world and that will help to a point.
he could have 3 Tszyus in his corner and i doubt it will make much difference. Povetkin fighting cruisers and has beens as well as bums isnt gonna help his cause once the bell rings..however its the best fight out there that can be made IMO

Two things make it clear that this must a joke. First "legitimate WBA champion" and second the part about Wlad avoiding Povetkin. I guess it's pretty funny when viewed that way.

Just to take you seriously for a minute here (since you really aren't that amusing) what exactly does he possess that will trouble Wlad? Awesome punching power, blinding speed, toughness that would make Tex Cobb blush? What?

You dont need anything special to trouble Klitschko. We saw what the limited Wach can do to him.

Povetkin will find a way inside due to his combinations and great footwork. Tszyu has prepared a lot of surprises for Klitschko.

When you talk about toughness, chin and heart, Povetkin has it. He battled his way to victories over Chagaev and Huck.

It will be the bodywork that will do the trick. Wait and see. Povetkin will grind Klitschko down.

It will be interesting fight to watch but wladimir will have a huge advantage over him. You keep mentioning that Povetkin has been trained by Kostya Tszuyu, a good fighter but Klitschko has been trained by Emmanuel Steward hall of fame trainer.

Povetkin's current belt means nothing, he's not a champion.

    Agreed but..

People are writing Povetkin off too much. His handspeed is good, power decent and he is tough. Most importantly though is he is arguably the best combination puncher in the division and without a doubt the best inside fighter in the division and that Volodymyr has faced during his title reign. Those two factors alone make it interesting.

Haye had footspeed, handspeed and power with more flaws than Povetkin and less accomplishments. Povetkin has the combinations, counter punching, inside fighting and short fast hooks and uppercuts perfectly suited on the inside. People always complain that no one can test Klychko inside and Povetkin has the best tools for that of any prior opponents so yes it does offer some intrigue.

It also holds historic significance since Ali vs Foreman and Mercer vs Lewis are the only other times (i can think of) that two Olympic Gold Medallists fought eachother for the HW Championship but Ali won his Gold at LHW and Mercer HW. First time ever it's two SHW Olympic Champions plus it's Ukraine vs Russia.
