Not sure what that has to do with Povetkin though.

 

I think people's overview of Povetkin's chances are biased too
much based on the fact he cowardly ducked Wlad twice before.

These things should be put separately on the table:

- first his overall boxing skills are not bad at all ... a golden Ollimpic champion, decent professional record ...
- second his current abilities .... his recent opposition was far from the strongest and he was struggling
against lesser opponents as Huck for example
- third his mental condition ... which is the weakest point, since he officially ducked Wlad before
saying he ain't ready for such challenge and now he is kind of forced to this fight

Based on above I think if the fight happens Povetkin will play very safe game, running all around
like ***** (means like Haye) and trying to survive rather than to bring the game to Wlad.

Overall:
- 40 % for an easy UD for Wlad
- 10 % for a split decision for Wlad
- 25 % for TKO/KO for Wlad
- 10 % for lucky KO/TKO for Povetkin ... **** happens in Wlad's life from time to time.
- 5 % a SD for Povetkin
- 0 % a draw
- 10% DQ or other bizarre ending Golota's style

 

Every young HW around gets a pass for not being ready for Wlad. Povetkin was in that boat 5 years ago ago. He has agreed to fight Wlad 2 years ago and Wlad has taken voluntary defences instead.
Only a ****ing **** like the one above would question Povetkin's mental condition when he went toe to toe against Huck on an empty engine for 6 rounds.

 

Kostya Tszyu has Povetkin in much better shape than he was in that awful performance vs Huck (which he lost, IMO), but he won't beat Wladimir.

 

Povetkin never showed up to the mandatory fights. That's why Wlad was allowed to fight Rahman and Peter II as mandatory defenses :deal

That agreement was signd two years ago. Show me where Povektin has pulled out since then. The fight could not get made because Wlad chose to make voluntary defences and had been threatened with being stripped if he does it again.
