Povetkin never fight against a big puncher like Wlad. He will not be able to take the punishment. And his stamina is not very good, he was tired against an old Larry Donald and cut against Byrd.

 You only post in threads about Wlad and you've said a few times before that he is a better fighter than Tyson. If you pick Wlad over Tyson then you're a nuthugger. I don't want to argue with a blind Wlad nuthugger, but here we go.

His stamina is not very good? Can you at least agree it's better than Wlad's? Wlad has shown time and time again at every point of his career that he is mentally weak and has big issues with stamina. How do you know Povetkin can't take the punishment? Obviously I can't logiically argue that his chin is titanium right now and the fight will show us the truth, but every sign points to him having an iron chin. It's really difficult for me to argue with everyone about my Wlad-Povetkin theory because I'm saying Povetkin's chin is iron as if it's a fact. So, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. It pisses me off a little bit that people are giving Povetkin no chance in this fight, even though he is clearly a threat to Wlad and we all know that Wlad is a vulnerable champion with a weak chin and bad stamina. Wlad has not beaten anybody like Povetkin yet in his entire career, Peter/Brock/Old Brewster/Austin/Byrd are not even close to as dangerous as he is.. again, we'll see what happens.

Herbie Hide was a stand-up boxer who had numerous technical flaws in his style. Fighting tall against a taller man is not an easy thing to do, especially when you have a leaky defense. Hide also had no noticable strategy to deal with Vitali Klitschko's size advantage. Speed is useless unless you find a way of using it. VK is wide open to a counterpuncher, but for some reason Hide couldn't see it. My guess is he was afraid of Klitschko and thus performed rather poorly.

Yes, Wladimir unlike his brother is prone to meltdowns. All Povetkin has to do to provoke the meltdown is give him something to worry about. Learning to move his head will be a good start.

He has a solid workrate but if Chambers was firing back like he did in the 1st 3 rds, then we would see if he can take it, but Eddie closed shop and hid behind his mitts for the most part. Vlads right hands are much different than Eddies but if this kid somehow survives them and is still punching he may be able to turn the tide on Vlad a lot quicker than Chambers ( who went into the survive mode) but Alex needs work and in the ring work, let him fight the winner of Peter/Maskaev or Chagaev/Thompson, still I give him credit for beating a 30-0 fighter but he needs ringwork

I still favor Povetkin over every HW. I have very little doubt that he beats Ibragimov, Chagaev, and Peter. Beating Wlad is not a guarantee, but I still favor him to KO Wlad late. As long as Povetkin can take Wlad's big right hands during the early-mid rounds and take him into deep water, he will win. I think Klitschko's stamina will be exposed again and when it looks like Povetkin is tired as hell and Wlad is too, Povetkin will be the one getting the 2nd wind and the 3rd wind, which will lead Klitschko into a situation he cannot physically or mentally handle.

Povetkin looked disappointing during the first 5 rounds today. Real disappointing. I was surprised a little bit with how good Chambers looked, but I was more surprised with how off Povetkin looked. He seemed slower (footspeed and handspeed) and he didn't have his usual pop on his punches. He also seemed a little less relaxed than usual and not as focused.

Yes, Povetkin isn't the new Tyson or anything close to it. But Wlad isn't Larry Holmes either. The division is weak and I still think Povetkin could beat everybody in it. Klitschko is the only elite heavy right now, but Povetkin has what it takes to beat him, even though he's not as skilled. His insane punch output, solid skills, great stamina/chin, and incredible mental toughness will be enough to wear down and beat Wlad.

Chambers was the faster man with the hands, and much faster than a fast handed Povetkin. Povetkin adjusted....taking a step back. And Chambers was better than I expected.
I'd said Povettkin has flaws, and can be hit, and don't got a Hammer from Hell punch.
He does have good grinding power, and a high work rate. Against a non shell boxer he shows good classic combinations.
Chambers will learn from this like Povetkin. Chambers will have to learn lateral movement, to be dangerous...
Sometimes the other fighter just don't let you do what you want....Chambers did not let Povetkin do his thing, and Chamber's thing got worn down.

If you're surprised why Povetkin was such a great amateur - not only olympic champion, but also world, european and multitime Russian champion, then you must know **** all about boxing.
