Alexander Povetkin's historical significance? Was he big enough?

People putting too much credence in Wilder as a belt holder. That means jack. It's about fighting the best opposition available. I could care less that Wilder has defended six times against 0 top 10 ranked opponents. His path to the belt was all politics. That resume of his should never have allowed him to fight for a title. And scuba Scott should not have been in a title elimantor either.
Based off resume Povetkin dumps all over Wilder and that's a fact.

Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders and Lamont Brewster would all find that notion very debatable...

Six times against mostly bums and losers.

    Which steroid did Povetkin take?

Chagaev, Byrd, Donald, Wach, Perez, Takam are better than the bums that Wilder has faced in his "defences". Povetkin fought Duhaupas, who Wilder beat, and destroyed him far more emphatically than Wilder did.

Wilder might fight Povetkin when he's like, 45 and well aged, though. Just like he's doing with Ortiz.

All Wlad has over Bowe is more title defenses. If thats what matters - Wilder >> Povetkin.

    h2h Bowe pulverizes Wlad.

Wladimir was twice the fighter as Bowe whilst thrice the longevity and legacy.

It's really an insult to compare to the two considering Bowe isn't even fit enough(literally) to lick Wlad's boots.

Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster would have loved to have gotten their hands on Bowe.

Let's see Wlad fought the best spanning possibly 3 eras. Somehow Bowe who fought in the 90s a golden era missed out on - Lewis, Tyson, Foreman, Tua, McCall, Mercer, Morrison, Tucker, ruddock, Bruno, and the list goes on.
Shameful amount of missed opponents for him. And Golota handed him his lunch twice packing up Bowes career with it at age 29

Have to agree with this. Bowe spent his career ducking Lewis and running after light-hitting and chin-first guys like Coetzer to beat up on. The only reason he ever faced Holyfield was because he massively outweighed him and thought that he could bully his way to a win.

Wlad is so far ahead of Bowe technically, in mobility and in firepower that it's ridiculous. I guess Bowe may have been a better inside fighter.

Lol the all talk casual quotes me again. Wlad fought top 10 rated opposition as has Povetkin Wilder has not. Wlad beats Bowe unconscious but then again Bowe would probably run like he always did from top competition

Pov has the better resume by a hair only because of the Chagaev and Tackum wins.

However once its leveled out once Wilder beats Ortiz.

Povetkin had his chance to face Wilder and he blew 3 times by popping dirty twice and postponing to fight Marius Wach

And a glass chin and a fragile mental state that would crumble quicker than Golota's.

Lol, just a little with regards to inside game. Bowe was wicked up close, Wlad like Ali had zero inside game
