What happened to Ustinov? The guy has over 100 fights in both boxing and kickboxing, used to have an iron chin. He was never a world title contender, but top-25 ish. Even Fury and Ortiz backed out of a fight with him before.

Now he lost twice in a row, first round KOs. He looks more pathetic than Eric Molina ffs.

Take a look at his most recent fight and judge for yourself:

Fury's uncle and former trainer was literally taken into intensive care and died about 9 weeks later. Are you seriously suggesting that Fury ducked .... Ustinov?

He was never a great boxer, but he was always extremely tough and hard hitting. This last fight looks like a bit of a Sam Peter effort, or maybe Ustinov was carrying some abdominal injury which led to the towel being thrown in, I'm not sure. Plus he's pretty old now, and been through a ton of fights even before he turned pro as a boxer (via K-1).

In his prime kickboxing days he was one of the toughest hombres I've ever seen. Like Matt Skelton he was actually a little past prime when he started his boxing career.

It's always a pity when the toughness is no longer a match for age. Can only hope he has enough set aside for retirement.

In the fight you posted it looks like an injury. That's not normal to throw the towel in those circumstances unless you know your fighter is fighting injured. Could it be that?
