Lovely fight, and Khan will be glad if it comes off as Maidana would have to give up his interim belt :yep

Maidana is a little quicker than Urango so I reckon he would test Alexanders chin more than Urango did but I can't see anything else but a late Alexander stoppage or comfortable points win...Another great 140 fight though.

Abregu isnt a bad fighter, although Bradley will deal with him....he put on a great little war with Garcia last year, well worth a watch....

Its an ok HBO introduction for Bradley which should provide a decent stay busy fight.

I cant wait to see who HBO put in with Bradley after this though

Kind of makes Khan look bad that Alexander is targeting a guy Khan was advised against fighting straight away (I said that as diplomatically as I could).

Thanks for that Antcull. Maybe i was a bit harsh in calling him ham n eggs, but its still a 'stay busy fight'. I have no idea why Timmy is jumping up 7 lbs though. Never "NEVER" a good idea to taste the scales at 147 and enter the ring at 155, to then dehydrate back down to the limit at 40. Look through the history books and you'll get the answer to this conundrum. The good thing for Holyfield jnr at least is that he's not getting up there in age and doesn't bloat up from Guinness carousing in between bouts, but not a good look with so many lions at light welter.

This ****in Devon Alexander is exactly the type of young fighter you need in every division , i mean he's talented , ultra confident and will share a ring with any mother ****er , you cant help but think that he will get sold short by that robbing slimy ******* King in the end though , but jesus you have got to take your hat off to the kid though and say kudos !!!!! , looking at him as well he has that frame where you see him eventually moving to 147 , i know he's only what 5'7 , 5'8 but i mean he does carry that look of a big Jr WW .

If he gets in there and blows out Maidana there will be a new superstar in town , and him and Bradley will have to meet , and you know there respective promoters Shaw , King will make a deal you just know they will .

On the Hatton one , i started a thread on here aluding to how even in his 2005 prime Hatton would of been given fits by any of these current Jr WW's , he aint coming back to fight a power house hungry animal like Alexander , no way in hell .

The word goes Khan when joining GBP he made it clear that he WILL NOT VACATE HIS BELT AT ALL COSTS(meaning he was willing to fight Maidana if he was forced) WBA ordering of fighting the Interim champ Maidana or have his title stripped. Maidana is co promoted by GBP so is Khan, GBP told Khan a fight vs Maidana would not be a big money in the U.S as both fighters are not that known yet so Paulie is a bigger money fight than Maidana right now, they both have been told to build their name for a few fights while GBP can cream money off both fighters.

Roach has said in and interview today he wants Khan to face Maidana next after the Paulie fight over at the scene.

Roach said ''I want Maidana next because I know we can out-box him, Kotelnik out boxed him and we killed Kotelnik''

Maidana could stop alexander watch the whole of the urango fight urango was starting to come on to alexander before he got caught, if alexander gets involved with maidana he gets stopped but i can also see el-chino walking onto a big powershot like urango did and hitting the deck tough fight

darni till khan fights and looks good dominating a live body he has no place in world class boxing, so i wouldnt really use his name in the same sentence as alexander and bradley

For a 23yr title holder, making his debut in the U.S vs a top 10 140 in his backyard is no easy feat. Paulie might not KO Khan but can box and make life real hard for Khan.

Plus how many more non-punchers at 140 are there?

Why did Khan leave Warren where he was making good money fighting C, B class fighters to join GBP? to fight bums?

Khan WILL fight Bradley and Alexander real soon dont you worry.

I'd have preferred to see him stay with Warren for a couple more years then move to America. Bradley/Alexander...too soon for Amir. What was the big rush? He's done it now so good luck to him. Paulie in New Yorks a good little fight for him but he needs a couple more like those before really stepping up.

He left Warren, not for his career but soley for money. The way Warren got Amir his WBA title so soon after his loss to Presscott was probably the best piece of promoting ive ever seen in all my time watching boxing.

Warren would've left Khan if the roles were reversed so I dont really blame him for doing it.

Urango started to go for Alexander and got stopped, prior to that he was having his tits boxed off...the same thing will happen to a defensively deficient Maidana, but earlier than Urango, the mans chin is as bad as Khans

WTF in gods name are you on about :patsch:huh:fire

Mate i suggest you go and watch Kotelnik Maidana & Ortiz Maidana before coming out with a ridiculous comment like that , jesus christ !!!!!!!!!!!! , what is it with Maidana , yes he can punch but even after the Cayo fight you can see how limited the guy is , Khan will make Maidana look stupid , but he wont get the chance because Alexander will beat him too it by the looks of it .

Bradley is the queen B @140 everbody else you cant seperate imo , Malignaggi , Khan , Alexander , Campbell , Peterson , Maidana (i know ive slagged him but its opinions only) there is nothing to suggest ATM one man is better than any other man if your going off results only , opinions count for nothing other than what you beleive in , if im looking for a #2 ATM it has to be Alexander after the Urango fight but then youve gotta bear in mind the winner of Khan Malignaggi will take that slot so its all give and take . And the fact Peterson looked like he's for real in the Bradley fight its all very tight .

You hit the nail on the head and drove it through the 2x4. I would take Maidana seriously if he throw more combos, worked behind somewhat of a jab, and varied the speed on his punches. he does NONE of that is basically driving down the Highway called "Bum Freeway", lol. this business of throwing punches with all his might is amateurish especially with the sharks in these light welter waters who will see it coming from a mile away. People should feel silly for even hyping this Ham-n-Eggs soup can. i'm done talking about this dude and his lack of a boxing IQ!
