Thats BS mate. Alexander will probably drop the belt soon anyway. When your at the level Alexander is at the belts don't mean much. Thurman, Porter, Vargas, Berto, Ortiz all good fights, easy to make and don't need a belt.
Right. So in the Chisora thread where you hint he has done a bad job, I assume you felt he was being put in with high competition too early? Like Bellew claimed?
Just have a conversation like a normal person. You think Goldenboy, Team Alexander and Showtime were forced to take this fight by Eddie Hearn?
:good Not blaming Eddie for this one. Showtime and GBP's fault. Alexander obviously values the belt so wants to hold on to it and Purdy's the highest available challenger after Bizier turned it down. Showtime should at least say, **** off if you want to fight him do it on your money, not ours. And for all the praise the IBF get, the fact that Purdy's got himself ranked at 4 is a joke. Boxing News think he's the 8th best Welter in Britain. EIGHTH! edit; Eddie hasn't delivered ****. Alexander and GBP had to go for the highest ranked contender who was available. That's Purdy.
Also means we will still get to see Petterson-Matthaise which is a great fight and Eddie has got one of his most limited fighters a title shot atleast there is still some British interest in this fight.Hopefully not Brook-Purdy in september also is Brooks injury so bad he can`t fight in July ?.
Eddie Hearn ‏@EddieHearn 23m It's a funny old game how things play out.. @LeePurdy1 will challenge @DAlexandereal for the IBF World title on May 18th in Atlantic City Eddie Hearn ‏@EddieHearn 1m And @SpecialKBrook will remain No 1 mandatory challenger with the IBF.. Who fancies Purdy v Brook in September for the IBF strap!
Alexander is hardly a big name is he? Without the title he's more high risk/low reward. Him having a strap means he brings much more to the table.
Whats that? Are you living proof? At the end of the day, they've gone back to Eddie and said look, Brook's out, Alexander is ready, have you got anyone else you can send over? And Eddie's thought Purdy, and he's give 'em a bit of "He's legit" "He's this and that" .....and they've gone deal and Eddie will no doubt be right behind the Purdster, I reckon he thinks he can win it. This aint no Gavin Rees, and it aint no Adrien Broner. Purdy! Make a name for yourself kid! Gwarnnnnn!!!!
One day mate when your balls drop, if you still post here, you will look back upon some of these posts and realise what a **** you were.
Hey Ishy did you see that Boxing News had Gary Sykes ranked at number 8 at Superfeather behind the like of Ben Jones and Paul Truscott truley disgraceful rankings.
Sykes hasn't done much since the second Buckland fight. Even if Purdy isn't as low as 8, he can't be any higher 4th/5th?
Thats true with Purdy.Sykes hasn`t done much since the Buckland fight but he did get a decent win the other week and is English champion.I was stunned when I saw him at 8 when he has only lost to Buckland and in Prizefigher really bad rankings. To have Ben Jones ahead of him is an insult really.
I didn't hint. Shame the thread has been deleted. I was saying you can look at it in different ways. You could argue that Frank did a good job with Chisora by getting him those big fights, but you could also argue he got him big fights that he couldn't win to early and that with the right grounding Chisora could win a title. You could also argue that Chisora also blew some chances as well. Like the Fury fight. But like I said loyalty works both ways. We all know why Chisora is unhappy, and for that reason nobody but be annoyed about him leaving. I see another thread was deleted!
