The first time I favoured Whyte and Povetkin KHTFOH. I'm scared to pick Povetkin this time in case I jinx it :(

Povetkin has already gotten Whyte's number. He analyzed and solved Whyte. It will be a much easier victory in the rematch for Povetkin .

Povetkin by KO in round 7.

All depends on Whyte's confidence after being caught like that. If he fights the same and more cautiously, he can win this. If not, it's curtains for him again. I'll go with Povetkin by stoppage.

Why is this fight happening? Povetkin is in position for a title shot.

Interesting rematch given the psychological edge Povetkin will have but I'll give Whyte the benefit of the doubt that he'll tighten up and grind out a points win. UD Whyte.

I said Povetkin was gonna KO him, first time around, and I can't see any different. This will look like Groves vs Froch 2, or Grandpa Thompson verses David Price. Whyte is still very much the same fighter that lost against Joshua. Same technique, same skill, and more importantly same fragility in his defence and chin.

I picked Whyte first time round, not certain who will win the rematch.

The fight didn't play out as I expected, I thought Povetkin would be more competitive early even ahead after 6 rounds. He's declined more than I had actually thought, but then Whyte's got over confident and Povetkin saw a flaw he could exploit.

It's possible Whyte fights more cautiously 2nd time round, doesn't give Povetkin the same opportunities but it's perhaps more likely Povetkin again finds another flaw in Whyte's leaky defence and exploits it.

Right now I'll say Povetkin again finds the KO shot and leaves Whyte sprawled out cold on the canvas.

I just don`t see how this is going to judges scorecard, sorry but i can`t.
Its either a KO/TKO for anyone.
No chance will Povetkin have a cardio for the full 12 rounds. He will either KO Whyte or Whyte TKO him.
Also there is more to this, and that is Whyte defence, and that is terrible. He doesn`t have the control, the mindset, and the concentration to avoid Povetkin big shots for the whole 12 rounds. Whyte defence is terrible, no way in hell he can dodge this bullets all night long.

He was more than careful in the first fight, and he get stretched. Not to mention the judge on the ring was helping him big time. I mean the low blows, which was a lot. Every single body shot from Whyte was low. So guess what we can expect this time around.

Some people here have zero sense for strategy and tactic.
Whyte best chance is to actually rush and try to get Povetkin asap. Povetkin ain`t that good on the back foot. Also his chin is not the same, as it was years ago. He goes down way easier now. And we already see that Whyte can hurt and down him.
Whyte should try to land something, and then to move on to finish Povetkin.
Not let him off the hook.
There is a drawback to this, that he will be even more open to Povetkin huge hooks and uppercuts, but his is defence is terrible anyway and he will get caught eventually, even if he play 100% passively.
He ain`t Joshua, and can`t use his height and reach, and i don`t see him improve and change tactics as Joshua did. Whyte didn`t move even slightly from the last few years. Zero progress.

And he will probably be scared, because he now knows that 1 shot from Povetkin is enough. And he also knows that Povetkin can get up from his shots.
His only chance is to bring up some very good strategy/tactics and somehow avoid Povetkin big shots + Povetkin to be in worst shape, and regress even more, due to the age factor. Also with the years, your body recover slowly, and there is not much time for Povetkin to recover fully on that advanced age.

I'm going Whyte yet again. Just needs to make 1 sliiiiiight adjustment. And that's keeping his right hand up to the chin at all times. Before that uppercut by Povetkin (which was a beauty), Dillian was in control. Neither guy needs to make significant adjustments, they are who they are, bangers.

Povetkin. That ko was based entirely on a difference of skill-level plus Whyte not moving his damn head.

Povetkin with the overhand right. It was my prediction last time and I am sticking to it.
