Alexander vs Kotelnik 7th August

Not seen much of Alexander, but against Witter he made some fundamental errors, especially after having alot of success in tegh early rounds, and walked onto a few big ones right before Witter pulled out, any chance he gets a little cocky after his ko of Urango, and gets outboxed Rees style? I know the chances are slim, but definitely worth a punt.

 

How's that possible? He's not like Rees. Rees doesn't have much ability, he just rushes in and throws any punch that comes to mind.

 

Alexander gets drunk before the night of the fight, parties with Corey spinks, then come fight night he's intoxicated himself ******ed, and thinks he's a fat short welshman and proceeds to attack Kotelnik with everything including the proverbial kitchen sink and gets his ass handed to him.

Richie Woodhall has it a draw going into the last round.

 

hasn't Kotelnik also come out and said he is done at the weight.

even a KO win prooves nothing as Khan won all 12 rounds in his first fight at Light Welterweight.

Would have rather seen him with his IBF mandatory Kaizer Mabuza who stopped Kendoll Holt in 6 rounds this year. Holt has knocked Bradley down and gone 12 round with him in his last fight.

 

Have you watched the Urango fight. was quality.

 

Alaxender will beat Kotelnik down and Kotelnik will kiss the canvas, Alexander just way to strong to fast.

 

Not a bad fight to make imo outside of Khan Bradley and Maidana

 

Alexander wants to fight someone that has beaten Khan or Maidana, for some sort of bragging right.

 

I don't really think you can blame Devon for taking this fight as everyone in the 140 lb division seems like they don't want to fight each other yet. Best willing opponent that could have been found at this point in time.

This isn't too bad a fight, Kotelnik is still top 10 @ 140 and will provide us with a common opponent to base Khan on somewhat.

I think Alexander will stop Kotelnik here.

 

He was a kid fighting his first world class opponent against Witter, and Witter was the favourite. He got careless, but he's a kid who learnt a lot from that fight. And he kicked Urango's ass.

 

Exactly as I see it. Pulled out between one of the championship rounds. Kotelnik was able to do his thing against Maidana, but Alexander won't allow him to dictate the pace and will throw even more punches (and harder shots) than Khan did against Kotelnik.

That tight guard will get drawn down and he'll get marked up.

 

I would be impressed if Alexander can stop him, but i think he should win on points.

 

Glen Johnson v Cloud is on the undercard.

 

That's a quality bill then. Johnson will provide an excellent gauge for exactly where Cloud is, the inactivity on Clouds part will make it even more difficult for him against an experienced, durable and gutsy fighter like Glencoffe.
