I'm in the mood for a bit of a rant and in the interest of venting spleen can someone please explain to me how on earth Harold Lederman came up with a 117-111 scorecard in favour of DA in a fight most reasonable people thought he lost in embarrassing fashion.

Was it bias, corruption, incompetence or was the silly old duffer off his meds again?
I'm hoping it's nothing more sinister than incompetence as he seems to be a likeable old sod.

It was as bizarre as it gets, Alexander was embarrassed.

    Strange, strange fight that one.

I don't like the word "exposed" but it really was fitting in this case.

As for that scorecard, it was just disgusting, the only thing i can think is that Alexander was such a favorite that lederman was only looking at what he was doing, and paying no attention to what was coming back.

Alexander was thoroughly undressed in that one, and the Matthyse one was another joke.

i think it was a bit of the tv company bigging there boy up and Lederman wearing blinkers as always ( only time ive ever agreed his his scoring was Morales vs Pac I)

That seems a pretty good explanation. Been guilty of that myself at times. Actually scored The Narvaez-Donaire to Narvaez and had to give my self a slap.:D

I think going into that fight Alexander was seen as a future P4P star after the Urango fight, seem to remember it being seen as an easy fight on here after Kotelnik vs Khan.

Not sure how Lederman scored it unless he went for workrate even if it wasn't landing a lot of the time.

I also thought Kotelnik beat Witter, 115-113 aswell.

Lederman always leans towards aggression , he openly admits it.

    True that, Kotelnyk won handily.

I remember Lederman having Pacquiao clearly beating Marquez in they're third bout due to 'effective aggression' :patsch really Harold? :-(

Lederman doesn't care if punches actually land, boxer A could throw 100 and only land 10, boxer B throws 50 and lands 40, Lederman gives boxer A the round.

The best part was Max Kellerman biting his tongue, he clearly wanted to say "Harold, you're full of ****, Alexander isn't winning this fight"

Kotelniks style is always going to create problems. Some people can score it correctly, some can't, some hate it, some like it, some are blinded by it...

Terrible robbery. That night mere activity beat clean and precise punching on the scorecards.

Lederman has been a joke for a while now. He gave Pacquiao 8 rounds in Marquez 3 ffs.
