    Nakatani said he wanted to move up, but obviously this is much better. Hope it happens. :chuck:

    Edit, it will now be against Alexandro Santiago. The WBC bantamweight champion.

    Now this is a brilliant match up and a tough fight for Nakatani. Fernando Martinez is definitely going to bring the heat to him and make it rough.

    Hope they can make this happen. Ioka vs Gallo and Nakatani vs Martinez happening in the same year would be great.

    2024 is already looking like a great year for Japanese boxing. You freaking have:

    Teraji vs Canizales.
    Dalakian vs Akui.
    Inoue vs Ancajas.
    Santiago vs Nakatani.
    Tanaka vs Bacasegua. Tanaka's team probably pulled some crazy strings to have Kosei fight this guy for the vacant belt.

    i do not at all get the mindset of someone that just arbitrarily picks fighters to hate on like this. especially someone as young and ambition as nakatani

    itll also be interesting to see if tanaka still can hang at the top level, even before ioka he was slowing down in activity and hasnt fought an elite fighter in a long time and still shows no signs of changing that

    Nothing arbitrary, pal. I have many contacts over in Kanagawa and just in Japan in general, including senior members of the NPA and Oyabun and Wakagashira, and one thing nobody respects is a snitch.
