For some reason I find this guy endlessly entertaining; could be the percocet. His striking technique is terrible, but he has quite a bit of power as you will see. His ground game is actually quite proficient; excellent technique for somebody his size. His takedowns are pretty simple, but get the job done very well. Not a serious contender, but interesting. One of the videos is him in the cage with Bob Sapp apparantly attempting to hype a fight, that would be entertaining; I picture Lungu winning quite easily over Sapp though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandru_Lungu 2002 European Judo Championships 7th Open class 2001 World Judo Championships 7th Open class 1999 European Judo Championships 3rd Open class Universiade 1st Open class 1998 European Judo Championships 7th Heavyweight (+100 kg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H_IBYBpH0Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axwjlQyk5HA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Goj_zwcwXtY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7Q1psw1Oz0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gfYhn8XvQA Tom Erikson and Ruben Villareal are both experienced fighters, solid wins; Erikson is obviously no longer the fighter he was, but still. If I ever open a nightclub, this guy is working security for me.
Eh, he is a wrestling coach at Purdue University, not really a full time fighter. It was probably last minute and Lungu was one of the few guys who could neutralize his wrestling.
He could at least lose about 60lbs. I mean, you'de still be 320 and have a big weight advantage over most normal people, then maybe you woudnt have to waddle around the ring like a penguin trying to get a takedown.
Was the blonde girl that hugged him after the Erickson fight his wife/girlfriend? If she is well done fatty, he probably can even can't see his balls but a chick like that is playing with them he's done well.
