Fight going down tomorrow, anyone have any thoughts on this one? Could be a great fight, both are big punchers. I've never seen Bruwer fight, nor heard of him. Seems like he can crack however, 19 knockouts in 22 wins. To be blunt, Alexeevs chin is ****. He's also pretty flaky concentration/will wise. Somewhat similar to Victor Ortiz, though Ortiz has shown more balls then Alexeev as of now. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Bruwer seems to be proficient at knocking guys out late. In his last several fights he's stopped three guys late... In the 10, the 10th again and then the 12th. That's how Alexeev lost to Ramirez, pressure, he folded late. I don't know, I don't think much of Alexeev. Bruwer isn't a good fighter but I think Alexeev is damaged goods and waiting to be taken out for a third time. Thoughts?
This is Alexander Alexeev's last chance - he needs to win this one, or his pro career is done. I've never see Bruwer either, but I've read that he's tough and durable, like Victor Emilio Ramirez. It may be a bad matchup for Alexeev.
Yeah, my thoughts. Who knows, Bruwers 6 to 1 with some bookies... Thats not nearly as big a mistmatch as some other fights that are coming up... Mormecks 15 to 1 against Wlad for example
I believe Alexeev will KTFO him. Then again I never saw Bruwer ( I might have too later on since I plan to write a " Fight Breakdown " ), I saw Alexeev quite a few times, He will never be the greatest but he is a really hard hitter, Good show usually. So I call Alexeev KO 7
Bruwer is a very good fighter, or used to be...was one of the brightest prospects to come out of SA and I was even a fan of his...Problem is, imo he has lost his hunger, he does punch very hard and has good skills BUT gets hit waaaay too much too often. This is essentially Gerards last roll of the dice!!! Let's hope he can give a good account of himself
