Not being the most expricenced boxing fan in the world, particulaly the older fights I see Alexis's name mentioned alot regarding to how much of a great fighter he was, but don't see Pryor's name mentioned half as much. Would anyone like to offer an opinion as to why this seems(to me) to happen? Afterall Pryor did KO him twice(even if the 1st bout was controversial)

    Thanks

because Arguello was a champ at 126, 130 and 135, fought a lot of better fighters, and bar Arguello, Pryor has only one other good name on his resume and hardly the longevity.

A quick heads up; one fight doesn't make a figher :good

Arguello is one of the 30 greatest fighters of all time in most peoples opinions.

Pryor between 80-100 on most peoples.

Pryor was a streaking star who faded due to out of ring problems, Arguello was a multi weight champ with longevity. If Pryor had more focus he may well have achieved a lot more.
