I could put Keed at a firm #20. :yep Hell, I know sweet scientist has said high as 10 though that is a bit extreme imo. 35, at worst. :!:
Well yeah, S_S is a militant Stylish Cubanist. I could see #20 though. You've got him above Hopkins, don't you? Don't you? You sick, twisted... :bart
For those who never got to witness the great Alexis Arguello! For those that appreciate the greatness of Erik Morales, there's some Alexis Arguello in Morales. I say this because Morales of the most recent fighters comes the closest to Arguello's style. Though nobody's style quite matches to Arguello's. I once heard Tim Ryan who along Gil Clancy announced alot of Arguello fights on CBS say, Arguello had an inimitable style. I mean no disrespect to Morales, but imo he's a poor man's version of Arguello. I say this so those who have'nt seen Arguello and are interested in seeing some of his fights. The man does everything Morales could do and he does it better. Not only better much better. Better skill, better stamina, better power, just overall a better version of Morales. To the thread starter.......that video piece was awesome brother! "Fight fight fight fight!" :good
wow thanks for all the kind words! as i was watching documentaries on him, i couldn't help but notice.. what a nice guy! one of a kind
no he was killed I dont know very many suicides that involve a guy shooting themself through the heart and not allowing the family a open casket his son is deadset on this he overcame a bunch of failed marriages and a cocaine or crack addiction and when he's finally ok and has a job as a politician he chooses to off himself I doubt it.
Great video. I really enjoyed watching it. Arguello is a legitimate All Time Great. A legend. A fighter whose tapes will be watched by fans, as well as fighters, for years to come.
Great vid man. One of my all time favourite fighters. Never met anyone who doesn't like him as a fighter or a human being.
The greatest 130 lber in history & one of the best ever, period... not top 10 but not a million miles away from it either, a battle tested warrior, a gentleman & a devastating mixture of power, accuracy & textbook punching all rolled into one.
I too see similarities in Morales that I do in Arguello, I give Morales the footwork, speed & movement advantage though, probably the jab & chin as well... Arguello is greater though, I`m not disputing that, both are amongst my all time favourite fighters, Morales alongside Ali is my favourite fighter ever so a slight bit of bias is allowed :good
