At 140 I would (I hate to do this) say Chavez by a pts win...and maybe even a late stoppage. Arguello was as some would say above his best weight and even old...but either way he held his own very well and did not look like an old man, but it is clear that his best day and weight were behind him. At a lower weight I would probably take Arguello, but at this point of his carear give me chavez.

    :good

Which weight do you think would be the one where it would be most competitive and hardest to pick a winner ?

I have Chavez very high at 140 , although when i look back he looked almost unstoppable in his short time at 135. I had Arguello number 1 at 130 for a very long time , but i have Mayweather there now , sorry !! Just opinion that .

I think h2h this fight is hardest to pick at 135 though .

At 140 , i agree with you here

At 130 Chavez was able to win a belt and beat some good boxers during that stint. Arguello was as you said at least arguably worth consideration as the best or at least one of the best. So I would probably pick Arguello on a pts win something like 116-112...trying to base this on where both guys were at the respective points in their carears.

At 135 I believ would be the war to see. I like Arguello more as a fan so I would be comfortable picking and cheering him to win...but in reality this would probably be a toss up. Maybe Chavez would be a slight favorite. I would not be surprised to see either guy win a decision here...a ko would shock me.

Right , i think Chavez has one of the best chins ever at 135 . But Arguello would be the one to test that chin . I too would pick Arguello at 130 , just because of how high i think of him as a ATG at that weight .

I will pick Chavez at 135 though , really could be either man's fight , but i pick Chavez , could be one of the best fights ever . Chavez always went about his attack patiently and coolly , but he would be under immense pressure froma ATG here , and when Chavez was under pressure you saw some great stuff. He would need to get inside the loinger reach and it would just be amazing

At 140? Chavez wins this one in a good fight. From 130-135 we have a real fight on our hands, one that I'd give to Arguello at 130 and maybe Chavez at 135.

Arguello at 130. Even at 135 Arguello was getting up there so I lean towards Chavez. At 140 Chavez is too strong and Arguello gets hit too much and possibly stopped as the body shots might set him up for a kayo.

Arguello has his best chance at 140. Chavez was not even three quarters the fighter he was at 135 or indeed 130, once he got up to 140.

Chavez WS15, but it would be one hell of a battle
