He was a great boxer puncher and a though cookie, but I am not sure he was the toughest. Did they mention any particular era? :think

He was as tough as they come, but also used to getting guys out of there so there was really no serious danger for him most times. Once he faced a monster like Pryor who could take his best shots he couldn't will himself through the punishment.

The guy on your avatar should be a top candidate for sure. He was practically a midget for a middleweight and not a one punch KO artist. Yet he walked tore through all his comp like nobody's business

Arguello was a maestro in the ring. One of my favorite fighters.

  9. Alexis was a ****ing tough hombre, but i think Ali with all the wars he had was tougher, Hagler would be number 2 for me, but all those guy's from the 80's were tougher than nails..

Tougher than Mancini, and Mancini is to the brink of death tough.

Arguello was a true championship rounds warlord. Gritty.

That was at the end of his career. Gatti was a tough ******* too in his prime when his body could take it. At the end Gatti was getting busted up and knocked out by everybody.

Its true.. but Pryors offense was pretty unwillable, wasn't it? Perhaps even the toughest could be toppled?

Sorry, but I don't think you have seen Arguello fight. What do you mean by " but also used to getting guys out there so there was really no serious danger for him most time"

    Could you please elaborate?
