Arguello and Nelson are both top five at 130 IMO, arguably top three. But I find Arguello to be both better and greater. I tend to think he wins in an awesome fight. Nelson could be really lackadaisical on the front foot. He'd basically walk on forward, not throwing, not defending and just look in a lull. You can't do that vs Nelson.
I think Canzoneri and Elorde should be everyone's top two. Then after that there's an amalgamation of Arguello, Nelson, Chavez, Pac, Floyd and the like. My list of those probably looks like this: #1. Tony Canzoneri #2. Flash Elorde #3. Alexis Arguello #4. Manny Pacquiao #5. Azumah Nelson #6. Julio Cesar Chavez #7. Floyd Mayweather Jr I can really see Maywather above Chavez, and Pacqiuao above Arguello.
Ah, I see. I wouldn't personally rate Canzoneri at super feather and I have Arguello above Elorde. Floyd's a bit low in my view. Pac, Nelson and Chavez are just about right in my view. Actually, I'll dig out my own top 10 list in a bit.
@George Crowcroft - I'm only actually happy with my top 6: 1. Alexis Arguello 2. Floyd Mayweather 3. Azumah Nelson 4. Manny Pacquiao 5. Flash Elorde 6. Julio Cesar Chavez Although JCC may be a touch low, really. But those 6 are the right names to be there.
Arguello stops Nelson late at either weight. Just the better and greater fighter, but at both weights it'd be epic wars.
