That was post Rosario 130 lb. Camacho was not gun-shy. He mixed blinding hand and foot speed with aggression and sneaky power. Still, he didn't fight anyone at 130 lbs. remotely as good as 130 lb. Arguello so it's not crazy to think Arguello could do to him what Rosario did. I think Arguello would win but it would be quite competitive.
Two things I can't get out of my head: 1. I remember thinking Irleis "Cubanito" Perez gave Camacho all he could handle at 130, and thought Cubanito might have edged it. 2. Cornelius Boza Edwards. Arguello by decision.
The Perez fight was at 135 lbs. Camacho fought several fights at that weight before dropping back down to 130 lbs. to fight Limon.
Rosario turned him into sea biscuit with one shot because he could punch, well at 130 so could Arguello. That's why I say the judges would be huge in this. In a 15 round fight Hector would gas out later, it would go the distance and a Camacho win is possible
Don't see it happening. He would have problems with Hector's speed IMMEDIATELY! Sal was great, but this was vintage Macho Camacho.
Later in his career yes. At `30 he was a force of nature albeit for a short period of time. Camacho threw combinations then. They were almost hard to count his flurries came in bunches and at that weight he had a pretty snappy punch. This version of Camacho had the quickest hands I have seen in boxing. I think he has all the tools to win a decision over ETM.
