Arguello would patiently stalk Whitaker but would be its not
his night. Sweet pea would respect AA power and would be
cautious and take no chances. In a dull fight Sweet pea on pts.

Agreed. Stylisticly, this is a tough matchup for Arguello.

I see a cautious, poised Pea keeping Alexis at a distance early while picking his lefts. A determined Alexis, as always, is game...and maybe swings momentum back his way a little bit during the middle rounds as he gets a few bombs in. But they're not nearly enough to slow a prime Whitaker down. Pea lands cleaner and more often both on the inside and outside on his way to a UD.

Arguello 5'10", 70 inch reach. Pea 5'6", 69" reach. Arguello behind big late in 15 round fight, finally hits Pea with that Mancini-fight type right hand quick bomb, and TKO's Pea in the 13th round.

Honestly, of every fighter I've ever seen I always seem to come back as Sweet Pea being the best, head to head and pound for pound. An absolutely brilliant fighter.

He outclasses even a classic ATG like Arguello at 135 and runs away with a UD.

Duran is the only one i'd favor over him at 135.

Wrong guy for Alexis. All wrong and the southpaw pretty much pitches a shutout on the cards.

    Didn't Trinidad out-box Whittiker?

DelaJoya out-boxed him and Chavez drew with him.

    Lost to Carlos Bojorquez
    Lost to Jose Ramirez

Duran couldn't catch Leonard when Leonard started being evasive. So how is he supposed to catch the Pea?

Pea is a different type of evasive to Leonard and he fought SRL at 147, not his peak weight of 135. Tho duran made an awesome transition to 147 lightweight is where he is the hardest to beat.

Did you just reference a Trinidad fight where Pea was shell of the fighter he was, while be cok'ed out? Comedy. Even then, a killer like Trinidad still couldn't put him away. Even the Oscar fight, I had him winning that fight, which again was past his prime against a peak Oscar. Solid examples lol

If Trinidad was such a killer why was he totally out-boxed by Winkie Wright? In fact, Winkie Wright's defense was so good, that Trinidad barely put a glove on him.

Michael Spinks against Texas Cobbs were two shells. But these two weren't shells.

Arguello was like a smaller version of Kovalev-too predictable for boxers who specialized in being totally unorthodox.
