who Benitez? Yeah he said he trained a ew days. A lot of guys say that, fact is Duran coincidentally did not train for the great fighters he fought. Another coincidence was he was outclassed by 3 of those elites. Leonard,Benitez, Hearns.

with the tall rangy guys it is always the same. Hearns had the great power but had the suspect stamina, which made his fights exciting.. I think he liked to brawl. I noticed when he got older he went 12 easily. so I suspect it was his doing.

That recovery ability was a little lacking. Once hurt he struggled to comeback.

There have been plenty of tall guys with good stamina over the decades. Height need not go hand in hand with suspect stamina.

I reckon you are talking about the Hill fight. This was a chess match that never had much pace at any stage. Hill was gunshy and never forced the pace. Such a fight isn't a showcase of stamina.

Tommy tired in numerous fights. He's probably my favorite fighter but i have to acknowledge his stamina was pretty average. His punches lost sting in a couple of minutes in the Hagler war. It was a very strange affair.

That too mate. Of course a better chin would have aided in that i guess.

it is hard to give a man a good chin who was that stretched out. Tallguys who are lean usualy don't take goodpunches because what is to absorb it? he took as good a punch as anyone would who was that lean.

You've obviously never even heard of Panama Al Brown, never stopped and dropped just once in 160+ fights. He is a shoe in for the Top 10 Bantamweights of all time and is often found inside the top 5. Super tall and thin for his weight and an incredible set of whiskers.
