The three amigos(Morales,Barrera & Marquez) would all get stopped by the Explosive Thin Man as for Chavez it would be a war of attrition with Chavez possible coming out on top by close controversial decision or maybe if he manages to wear Arguello down with his amazing bodywork he might get a late stoppage win, either way it would be one hell of a fight and i wouldnt rule out an Arguello win its that close.
Arguello stops MAB, JMM and EM. Whereas I believe JCC would win, I'm not 100% sold because JCC was preprime at 130 and that was a weight where Alexis was close to his prime. At lightweight and 140, I like JCC by stoppage, especially taking Chavez's brilliant bodywork into account, although those weights aren't what the thread starter requested. I guess I'll take Chavez at 130 in a barnburner.
Morales is a live dog in this fight. Iron chin, deceptive footwork, solid speed, underrated skills and pretty good stamina.
Most of you guys have no idea how great Alexis Arguello really was. I've always said that Erik Morales was a poor man's version of Alexis Arguello, and that's not dissing Erik Morales who was great in his own right, that's just bringing to light the greatness of Alexis Arguello.
Morales carried as good or maybe even better stamina into the later rounds and was a little more fluid and graceful with his movement. But as far as styles go they are similar to a certain extent. Arguello was taller and longer and punched harder. Slightly better skilled. And probably deserves to be ranked higher, but Morales is a live dog against Arguello.
Arguello stops Chavez. That come forward style of Chavez won't work against Arguello at 130 pounds. His chin will crack. Marquez gets easily outboxed, I doubt he wins more than 2 rounds. MAB most likely gets KO'ed and won't be able to take the flush shots.
I love EM. He was great. Great! He probably had quicker footwork and handspeed, but quite frankly, that's about it. Added with the fact that Alexis is naturally bigger and is arguable the goat at 126 and 130, I would pick Alexis over Erik every time.
