Just a thought or two on the ones I've watched....

Mancini - slow start, outworked early on although he keeps his own in exchanges, digs to the body well at times. As the fight goes on, around the 6th he tales control, his patience and accuracy really impressed me, he just picked him off with hooks on the way in and rights at range. The late power he shows is brutal, clinical finishing from him as well, didn't rush he work, knew the stoppage would come.

Kobayashi - quick start, impressive performance. Takes control from the start and doesn't look phased by the bull rushes of his opponent. The one time he seemed in trouble he composed himself quickly and fired back. Quite dominant and the shot that ends it is sickening, must have cracked a rib or two!

Limon - a pretty one-sided beating, just puts it on Limon, handles him easily enough. Takes the few shots Limon throws well and Limon does well to stay on his feet til the end. Nice shot selection from Arguello here, works well, keeps patient and doesn't lose it trying to take Limon out. Impressive from Arguello.

Ganigan - just a war! Hit with big shots early, recovers well and outfights his opponent. Big body and head shots slow Ganigan down and Arguello takes control and begins to beats on him. Great combo to take him out, beastly uppercut to the body just kills him off.

Elizondo - great boxing display. Outboxes him and outfights him when needed, with the knockdown in the 4th. Good shot selection, shows almost every shot in the book. Beautiful jab, pin point right hand, left hook that couldn't miss, solid uppercuts and good body work. Great shots to finish him of as well.

I plan on getting through the Boza Edwards, Chacon and Escelara fights by the end of the week. Really enjoy watching him, has a great style and is willing for war!

    Chacon, Navarette, Limon, Boza, Arguello.

Watch all the fights these men had with each other.

That was the first one he listed. :D

Agree with Flea; that round-robin thing at 130 back then was really fun. Arguello was the daddy of all of them, but there was so much parity with the rest, and they all had combative styles, each and every one.
