Well, in future, Blair could use a little less corn on his Cobbs and a lot more work in the gym. That he hung in there through a beating those last two or three sessions is the best I can say for that largely clueless performance.

No ****, I said he was a hypejob years ago, when I first laid eyes on him. Although I had my fingers crossed he could outbox this hack.

Id like to see Rocha get a shot at Boots, or any of the top prospects at 47 next. He showed great ring composure and turned it up when he needed to. Credit to Cobbs, but he just isnt a horseman! Woooooo;)

We all hope that when we pay for a service to watch fights that the fights will be good and competitive this was a good fight but Cobb was not a headliner....I am curious if your Rocha is a hack comment is for personal reasons or based off the loss or his opponents to that point? He fought a solid fight proved he had the discipline, skills, chin and power to stop Cobb. So seriously what's the issue with Rocha? I have not followed him closely

Such a shame about the booing, it just shows they let anyone into the arena, Short notice fight replacement and I am sure McKinson could of picked an easier fight than the ultra defensive Martin also a Southpaw. And full credit goes to Michael and his proud father/trainer.
Ortiz Blood condition.... what the F#*k is that about.. Also the ring announcer said making his long awaited American Debut..What the hell is that about
Mora is a Bell end as is the female co-pundit with him

I've followed Cobbs for some years since I saw a youtube video of him sparring, where he looked flashy, and I was glad when I saw he got his chance to develop his talent and was well matched on various undercards. I never liked his wrestling image though.

However, I think many of his flaws had already been exposed previously against fighters far from the top; first of all that he lacked some power, and secondly his chin. He's shown us before that he can be both caught and hurt, and that's what we saw today. So I've just been waiting for him to take a loss, and now his fairy tale story has come to an end. At 32, I guess we have seen how far his talent could take him, and his level. Not sure if we'll see him again, other than as a gate keeper for a prospect on someone's undercard. He looked in tremendous shape though, so he'll probably try and come again.

As for Rocha, at 24, there might be a future for him once a whole generation of top 20 welters now in their 30s retire. Never seen him before, but he looked like a guy who could develop into a top class fighter over the next few years. A bit too early to test him against a top level gate keeper (I believe he would lose to e.g. Avanesyan, Kavaliauskas, Brook...), and talents like Ortiz and Ennis are already at a different level, just behind the elite. But he might be just as good as or better than Benn, who is hyped to the roof.

McKinson? Decent boxer, and could probably win a British and a European title, but that's it. Without any power, the physically tougher will hunt him down. The McKinson we saw today might have been stopped by Rocha, who looked both better and more entertaining. I guess we'll see McKinson again soon against Ortiz, but that won't end well. Someone at the WBO need to take a second look at their welter ratings. Personally, I hope Ortiz ditches McKinson, and rather goes for the WBC eliminator with Avanesyan in his next fight.

He's okay, but he was brutally rocked by Cervantes, and probably should've lost by TKO, he was violently battered around the ring for almost two minutes, lucky for him Cervantes blew his load. Then he was taken to school by Brad Solomon, and won a bogus decision in that one, and was pretty much dominated from beginning to end by Ellis. So, I think his ceiling is pretty low.

    Rocha vs Cobbs

Prediction: Cobbs is going down, this is his first real opponent that's not a journeyman or way past it. He's too open and much like Agaryko (I think that's his name) from last week, he's athletic but not a super athletic freak that can get away with Roy Jones stuff.

    Round 1
Rocha had a nice flurry mid round, but Cobbs though reckless did the better work, moving around a lot hitting shots here and there.
    10-9 Cobbs

    Round 2
Cobbs wastes a lot of energy with his movement. Rocha is getting to work and being a little more aggressive. Rocha landing a lot of shots, Cobb's moving around doing not a lot
    10-9 Rocha
    19-19

Note: this ref will not let any infighting he is a little too quick to call break

    Round 3
Rochas got a cut, but doing well. Martinez says this is a good Cobbs round, I don't see it. The cut is in a bad spot, hopefully they can stop it.
    10-9 Rocha
    29-28 Rocha

    Round 4
Rocha landing shots, cobbs moving and smirking not landing much
    10-9 Rocha
    39-37 Rocha

    Round 5
Big round for Rocha, Cobb's gets nailed with a series of straights and he's stumbling all over the place, almost a 10-8 round, Cobb's did nothing offensively and just ate shots all round
    10-9 Rocha
    49-46 Rocha

    Round 6
Almost target practice right now, Rocha landing almost at will, Cobb just moving moving moving flicking out the occasional jab
    10-9 Rocha
    59-55 Rocha

    Round 7
Slow round Rocha doing most of the punching and landing except one part of the round where he invites Cobb to hit him dumbly and takes a big shot. Same shot nails Rocha at the end of the round, a lead straight
    10-9 Rocha (close)
    69-64 Rocha

    Round 8
Cobb's goes down hard, gets up and does nothing but smiles. End of the round and Rocha just teeing off Cobbs, ref almost stopped it, Doctor checks on Cobb's between rounds
    10-8 Rocha
    79-72 Rocha

    Round 9
Rocha lands a great combo, Cobbs in trouble ref stops it

Rocha wins by KO in 9

And this clown Cobbs was calling out Errol Spence
