I wonder if Vergara is related to Sofia Vergara.

 

conwell needs to develop a right hook. he doesnt seem to throw it and its whats open for him. relies on right cross or straight right only.

 

Conwell is very tidy, I'll give him that. Thankfully made that last round more exciting by letting Vergara come inside to exchange more.

 

Man how many consecutive left hooks was that? Lovely finish once he caught Vergara coming forward too recklessly.

 

Always liked Conwell. He’s definitely not beating the top guys at 154 though.

 

It's weird, I can see his skills are truly elite. His punches are technically perfect and he's got a tight defence. He doesn't lose focus in fights and seems extremely tactically sound. It just seems like a little something is missing and it's a shame as I really back him being Cleveland-born myself.

 

Ortiz would wreck Conwell.

Yeah it’s one of those weird things where doing everything correct isn’t enough. Elite fighters tend to have that well rounded skill set, but also are exceptional in a certain category or two. As good and fundamentally sound as Conwell is, he doesn’t have one of those X factors like big ko power or blazing speed.
