Oscar de la Hoya > Alfonso Gomez

    No doubt.

    However:

Alfonso Gomez + Tony Margo + Ricardo Mayorga > Oscar de la Hoya

his record before Floyd was 1-0 at welterweight w/ a championship belt to go along w/ it -- against a rugged Collazo who had only 1 L on his record.

Wasn't Hatton's fight with Juan Urango at Welterweight? I thought he's 2-1 by now. :huh

    What does this mean?

Oscar is obviously better than Gomez, at this or any point. That includes Mayorga, who recently defeated Vargas.

But Margarito? Come on, he's a Welterweight.

he means wins over mayorga, gomez and margarito is better than a win over oscar de la hoya.

DLH beat everyone on Cotto's resume by KO !!

He knocks out Gomez in 2 rounds now or 10 years from now.

I mean that Oscar de la Hoya is much better than Alfonzo Gomez. That is clear.

However, in 2008 Cotto will also fight Mayorga and Margarito...and I think those three fights are better than just one fight against De la Hoya.

Yes, the rugged same Luis Collazo who won his title in controversial fashion over Jose Antonio Rivera. Hatton may have a W on his record over Collazo, but I personally had him losing. And I'm sure most, whether they liked the decision or not, would agree Hatton looked like **** in that fight.

Very close fight and Shane dominated down the stretch even Cotto admitted he tried to win it the easier way and isnt willing to give a rematch. Shane gave Cotto the chance to make a bigger name off him trust me theres no demand for Cotto-Mayweather is Mosley never fought Cotto. Mayweather would rather take on easy rematches and Cotto has no tougher fights out there but Mosley.
