Gomez by late rounds stoppage ... Castillo looks puggie as a welterweight ... Gomez is stronger as well ... Castillo will press forward and get hit alot ... Gomez is too youthful ... Castillo has been in the game for so long.

 

The question is, were there any better offers (better opponents, more money, more exposure) out there for him? Sure there is plenty of talent at 147 but he can't fight them unless a deal is made.

 

Gomez is riding on corpses. Gatti was worn when they fought and JLC is by no means a top dog anymore. Then again Gomez is a contender bum

 

A Contender bum? Are also forgetting he went in with a prime Cotto? There isn't much to dislike about Gomez so I don't really understand the hate. Gatti went after Gomez to end his career whilst he isn't exactly going to turn down the chance to fight a 'name' on such a big card.
