    I'd take Gomez by decision.

He looked superb with Soto-Karass and seemes to have peaked.Castillo has been on the downside for a while.

Gomez has a pretty good workrate and puts his punches together well,he also seems sharper defensively than ever.

do you think this fight will lead to another fight at a world title for him?

    For Gomez?

Well after his win over Soto-Karass I'd say he's 1 decent win from a title fight or title eliminator.

Gomez takes this Castillo might be competetive if he has something left but even then Gomez takes this by either easy decision or close but convincing decision.

He looked good at the beginning and was ahead, but toward the end it looked like the tide was turning and that Karras would turn it around before they stopped it cause of the butt.

I don't know if the tide was turning....Karass was never out of the fight completely. He just was unlucky to fight Gomez on what most likely will be his best night as a pro.
Gomez never looked sharper, faster, stronger. The cut wa also visibly affecting him.
Regardless it remains a very good performance and W.

Castillio may be a lttle too far past it now to contend at even top 20 WW and he is to small imo

I think he is what you would call a gatekeeper now though at LW/LWW/WW

Will Castillo be Gatti? or Cotto? I'm gonna go with inbetween , He will beat Alfonso, but it won't look like the spanking in which Miguel delivered.

in his prime, castillo would win by brutal stoppage.

Castillo. Gomez is not on that level, you only need look at the Cotto fight. He beat Gatti but Gatti was even more past it than Castillo and was never as good.
