Alfonso Zamora vs Lupe Pintor

Pintor survives some early scares, and grinds down Zamora for a late TKO.

 

My gut says Pintor is just a cut above in class, while Zamora could bomb anyone out at any time.

It’s probably even or close to even through 10 or 12 but Pintor finishes stronger and MAYBE gets him out of there on attrition in the championship stretch.

If we ever enter a virtual reality world where this could happen, please save me a seat!

Pintor would defeat Zamora. After how close he came to outlasting the vastly superior Wilfredo Bazooka Gomez,...Lupe would have overtaken Zamora,...and probably in those 13 thru 15 championship rounds.

 

Pintor also did a lot better against Zarate.

Even though, Zarate was robbed. And even though I would argue that Zarate was no longer Zarate after the Gomez fight.

Pintor is lucky he didnt face the same Zararate that Zamora faced. I dont think the judges would have had a chance to give Pintor a gift.

 

Whew , don't know, Zamora might jolt him out but I'd make Pintor a slight favorite , 3-2
