At 165 lbs and Against a guy named Jeremiah Riggs, who's 2-2 in the BKFC ring. The card is pretty good too. https://www.bkfc.com/events/bkfc-knucklemania-iv:b9fc1d96-fba3-46a3-8328-7557cc684185
Thats the third boxer I've seen participating in BKFC. I've seen Malignaggi and Trout doing this and now Angulo. Why are they transitioning to bare knuckles?
This content is protected I remember him from when the white Mexican Alvarez beat his ass like he stole something
Angulo strikes me as somebody who probably shouldn't be getting hit in the face for the remainder of his life. His defense was abysmal. Good luck to him, though.
Speaking of boxers transitioning to BKFC, anyone knows what's going on with Rigo? I heard he's signed up to BKFC but I haven't heard anything since.
It´s the last place they can earn a good payday. Malignaggi alleged that he got over 350k for the Lobov fight. No way anyone in boxing was going to pay him that. I doubt he could have even gotten 100k from anyone. Trout probably got at least 20k for his BKFC debut. He could be making 100k or more now. And the thing about Trout is that he spent the last few years as a pro boxer in obscurity. He was signed to small promoters and I doubt he got paid 10k or more to fight some German in front of 3000+ people. Same applies to the UFC guys. UFC is notorious for underpaying but it´s not like rest of MMA is generous. And the most important part is that guys like Malignaggi believe they have the upper hand due to experience and a massive advantage in skill. I think this is the biggest factor why guys are taking the deals.
