Does anyone know if he is still fighting at 154 for his first fight since his jail term?

He is. In an interview he did with Nacion ESPN, he said that people were actually surprised he was still around 154lbs. He said he is just a natural jr. middleweight.

Im not a huge belieber that you can really change a fighter of that age.

The notion you can go from instinctive sluggeer to defensive fighter, is misguided I think.

He'd be better off finding a trainer that compliments his current style and work with it

He looks a lot better like that, than the Freddie Mercury/Leather Boy look he had been previously sporting.

Agree, I don't think this is a good move for Angulo....Robert Garcia, Abel Sanchez, or even Freddy Roach would have been better choices.

I look forward to seeing Angulo again and hopefully he comes hungry and determined. At the same time I hope he learned something with his loss to Kirkland, and just improves.

Well, I guess if you failed working with just about the greatest Mexican trainer ever, then maybe it's best not worry about skin color, or ethnicity.

How could he have been so lousy with Nacho? Certainly wasn't Nacho's fault.

I dont know why everybody believes that Hunter will turn all his new fighter into some great defensive fighter.

Yeah Ward has a great D but Virgil worked with him since he was like 9 y old.

Plus Andre Ward is highly athletic and has great reflexes what you cant just teach and which is in my opinion are most important abilities a defensive fighter has to have.

Exactly. Hunter and Ward developed from the ground up.

Not going to happen with older fighters with styles and habits they have already developed over their lifetimes.

So ironic that Khan and Angulo are jumping from two of the "best" trainers in the sport.

Glad Angulo's back, I've always enjoyed his fights. After this fight I'd like to see him mix it back up with other top fighters again. I think an Alvarez-Angulo fight is one of the best in boxing, not too mention a rematch with Kirkland, or Cotto, Berto, etc are all very good fights.

Hard to believe, he looked like a walking skeleton before the Kirkland weigh-in.
